I've done it Twice and it is alot of work.If I want a real challenge I skip all the races and run the B-main and then start last in the A-main.I win alot but some tracks still kick my butt like Lernerville.
|
nope real challenge is run the heat from back to transfer, then run the A,
the B's are weak and a waster of time (if such a thing can truly exist on that game lol).
we need to have a tournament of this game. 3 different sprint car drivers have claimed to be the best - and with stock setups i took all 3 of em down in embarrasing fashion. I have to remind them that while i can kick the shit out of em on the GAME - they are good where it actually counts! LMAO.
Bloomington my fav. and Bristol, I-55, and of course - Silver Dollar. Knoxville is great no matter what.
And I do like Lernerville - like runnin high and 1 and 2 and dartin that sucker down under everyone else in 3 and 4. comin off 2 high at lernerville is fun!
I dont like Las Vegas much. Lowe's is actually fun sometimes. I CANT STAND Terre Haute or Williams Grove.
Here is a true test. start a career. the first 2 races you can possible run - run em and see if you can unlock region 2. surely some of you know what i am talkin bout. the local at lernerville is easy.
but when any of you can set quick time, win the heat, win the dash, and win the A Main at Williams Grove against the Support Series - while runnin a Creek getup with limited improvements (o yeah - with a stock setups too lol) - than ya'll can holla at me. i need my ass whipped at this game - years of kickin everyone else's has be riding a bit too high lmao.

How would you do on Skagits 44H ?
|
no such thing as a wasted hour on that game LOL
I confess - i sometimes day dream about - if we could have that game made next year - same graphics (you know - like the same racing stuff) -----
I daydream about what tracks and series I would have on it. its a fun thought.

Damn, you guys got some good times. Do you play with a steering wheel or the regular controller? My times are with the your normal everyday controller. I thought it was possible the game could be played with a steering wheel. I win at all tracks on the Outlaw level if I play the whole game the way you normally do. Some tracks are difficult if I decide to start in the back . . . tracks like Silver Dollar, I-55, etc. 'cause it's so hard to pass with cars all over the place. I've never used another set-up, I only use what I set-up, which I know, may not be the best, but I want to see what I can do.
Vegas - 14.72
Lowe's - 13.95
Eldora - 12.97
Bristol - 13.13
Bloomington - 12.27
Husets - 11.55
Terre Haute - 15.77
Lernerville - 13.40
Williams Grove - 15.03
Silver Dollar - 10.29
I-55 - 10.13
Knoxville - 15.07

I run a basic setup, most of the weight on the right side. I used to use the wheel and pedals, but became too much of a hassle having all that stuff out, wires, etc., so now just the regular controller and steer with the joystick and don't turn the wheel much. The key is, as in real life, to keep the car straight and control wheel spin.
Does anyone remember when they had the Mopar Virtual Nationals at the '02 Nats.? I was 8th quick out of 885 entries, but got beat in the first round of 16 by .02 sec.
What I do now to keep it interesting is run a Hawk and start in the back of the heat and feature.

yep. I have to do things like that too. Its funnest to start a career and run vastly inferior cars with WoO and the support series.
As I said before - the first 2 races are the Local at Lernerville. and then the support at WG. If you can unlock region 2 after those 2 races - you are pretty damn good. Or how bout beating the WoO with a Creek chassis? I've done it. but only a few times. and yeah - it was at Bristol, I 55, and Silver Dollar. Tracks that become wreck festivals. what i dont get is - even with all of em flippin all over the place - even with the yellows on - it doesnt throw it very often.
granted - its kind of fun dodging all those wrecks and damaged cars - but kind of makes me wander lol........

and btw - its too easy with a Hawk against the WoO - use a H&H. That makes it incredibly difficult to run just heats and features and still come from the back and win...

finally came in the mail today. haven't even taken it out of the envelope. have no idea what to expect. i'm a Champion on Road to Knoxville at the Pro level. i gotta race my ass off to win that.
alot of you guys have the WoO 2002. what do you think? any advice? how will i do right off the bat? any predictions?
can't play it right now, cuz i gotta fly, but can't wait 'til later.
|
OK on some of the tracks you will like to start the race on the bottom of track or the top . AT willaims grove i like to start the a main on the out side . IF i`m in the dash running 1st or 3rd i will slow down enuff to finsh 2nd or 4th . SO i can start the a main on the out side . going in to turn one can be harry at some times .
