Go to Daytona. Might catch some practice of something.

South of Daytona to the Space Museum

Golf Hall of Fame in St Augustine if you are a golfer.

Orlando is just an hour to the west and you won't run out of things to do there. Take your Visa or MC though. Its the land of Disney and high prices but if you avoid the theme parks its not so bad. You can get back to Volusia in under an hour from there as long as you don't hit Orlando rush hour. Pack a lunch if you do.

Great Speeds, lots of high quality cars and bring some warm clothes as it gets darn cold at night. Should be good times. HAVE FUN...

Keep your banana in your pants...I've seen the way you act around the track when you have your beer goggles on! Maybe you should keep your whiney a$$ over at Daytona then!

I haven't been down there in about 5 years now but it was always a good time. I would love to go this year but my wife is laid off so no go on the funds for a racing trip. Unless there is a wet tshirt contest goin on over on the beach then maybe we could have gas money to get home. haha You boys have fun down there. Looks like they got some races at ocala the week before, too.

Last year I spent the days enjoying the Daytona Beach in my jeans and hooded sweatshirt. The pier was nothing special but fun to watch the guys fishing. I brought a GPS for the car and would just go drive the coast looking for cool sites. Bring WARM clothes (hat & gloves, too) for the races, get to the track early and hopfully you enjoy watching 10 heats of the mods.

Steer clear of the "Top of Daytona" Restaurant and the "Harbour Beach Resort"

Make sure you check out the Harley dealer and the whole Harley complex out by US 1. Its one of the biggest of its kind and is just neat to see and they have some restaurant next door called Hog Heaven or something like that. Good bbq place.

Oh if you want to make a few bucks go through a time share presentation. Those people are all over at the beach and at Daytona Speedway chasing you down. They paid me $100 cash to take a tour and listen to their BS for 45 minutes. They lean on you at the end to try to make a sale but most people just say just give me my $100 now please! They have to give it to you and can't keep you there more than 2 hours by FL law I think. I know some people that ended up buying one, so be careful if you have a hard time saying no. lol

any truth to the BYOB ? that doesnt happen much around here, I was surprized when we attended our first Napcar race in Talledega, I wish we would have planned better ,our ice melted way to soon ,we only brought a few cold ones for sake of possibly throwing them out at the gate, so we found ourselves standing in line, owell , do they have a specific cooler size allowable if so? thanks for the "heads up" anyone.

why would he want to go to Gaytona? he's going down to see some kick ass racing not a bunch of lame ass 400 hp boxes(yawn). i'd rather go listen to corn grow. i golf, but if i went down there for sprint car racing, i sure as hell would have no interest in the Golf Hall of Fame. Wow! you must really be a blast to hang out with! yeah, also on the way down, don't forget to go see the Worlds largest Ball of Twine!!!!!
