You gotta know there are a lot of people out here hoping Faas/Gardner will slip a couple of their world famous Open Sprint Shows into that schedule somewhere.

On the positive side ,they've cut the number of classes of cars ,the sprint car main is the first to run,and rumor has it ,there trying to get timers to qualify the sprints....so thumbs up to Victorville! I am lobbying for one rule in the Sprint car class-No Toolbox Fuel Cells-Go Sammy!

I keep hearing a rumor about Victorville and was wondering if any of you had heard the same. Supposedly they are going to tear the track down and relocate it, as a new facility, somewhere else on the fairgrounds. T/F?

I dont believe that is true. The track is exactly the same as I write this.

Rumors been around a long time,but it won't happen like that. When the powers that 'are' can get enough 'graft ' to justify the move....they'll sell the extremely valuable land the fairgrounds sits apon..then they'll do a land grab[eminent domain] along the freeway ,south of town....two to five years of litigation to settle ,then some tree hugger will file suit,another 8 to 10 years of litigation...bottom line ,once the tracks gone ,It's gone ,enjoy what we have now.We're pretty much promised a great season ..Let's go Racin!

Great schedule Mike! You should get a lot of USAC-CRA guys showing up with this schedule. Looking forward to a great 2009!!!!!!!!!!

The rumor that I referred to above was supposed to transpire during the off-season.

Not sayin your wrong, thats just what I know. I think it would be cool to have a slightly new location and some flatter pits. Hope the season gets here faster! Cant wait.
