Kenny Shepherd posted a new web page outlining 5-7 Injected 360 and/or Spec. shows at Chowchilla Speedway for 2009. Details are limited but here is a link to the site

I gotta say, I like the way the site is laid out even though its incomplete. The Madera gang has always fought hard and I hope this flys. Im really curious to see what they do with the place and the schedule.
Quite frankly, it could be the 2009 diamond in the rough.

I agree, when we had the 2006 410 Shootout at Chowchilla Speedway the drivers all said that if they would widen the exit of turn 2 and entrance of turn 3, by moving the K rail back 20 feet or so, it would make the track a bunch better. They're also talking about adding clay.
If they round up the $$$$ to do these things it could be a lot like Watsonville maybe a little like Chico, if there is a little run off area behind the turns and back straight.
I will run a 360 or Spec. there at any shows they offer. I am looking forward to it, as I can see the track across the freeway from my backyard.

Hopefully the management looks into that, along with the clay, and setting back the wall.
They are going to need to secure a deal with a racing organization like the civil war series or bandits also.
It would be cool to see GSC too.

I just got an e-mail from Kenny Shepherd. There is a meeting Saturday1-31-09 at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds Theater.
He says he is working hard on the sprint car portion of the schedule and is even working on getting some shows with outside organizations.
Stay tuned to www.racechowchilla.com for more details. If you have questions e-mail them to him. I was impressed with how quickly he responded to e-mail. Hopefully this will work out to be a great place to race.

Yep. Shepherd has his act together. His respect and professionalism towards the racers is well appreciated by the all teams at Madera I've spoke with. I never in my life thought I'd have any reason to even consider running at Chowchilla. Can't wait to see the schedule and even it does'nt work out for me, I'm sure it will be successful.
Geez, I had fun.
