I like how you make the SBS sprint car's sound so easy to drive. We are having leauge tonight. TeamDDR server. Your more than welcome to join I'd like to have you come race, maybe you can give me some tips.

Look in the install notes for the 2008 sbs sprints. You'll see someone named USA_DRX being thanked. That's my handle in the dirt racing sims. I know more about where the pieces and parts of that mod came from than anyone else other than JR and I doubt that he'd admit to half of it. Trust me when I say that information to make a more realistic simulation was provided to him but he chose game physics instead. What do you expect from someone that lives in Iowa and has never even been to Knoxville. It's going to take a dedicated fan with some knowlege to make a realistic simulation on that platform, not someone who wants to just play a game. If it wasn't for good people like Tim over at that site providing quality product, such as the late models, it would have sank months ago.

Also, I've spent the last nine months making tracks for you guys instead of racing. Before that I was in the top five of the sprint rankings. Where the hell were you?

Powerslave it was not intended as a slam. I just got into this a month ago, and I could use some help! Sorry if you took it that way.

Can you have the sprints and late models loaded at the same time? So I can play either one at any given time.

You can have just about any kind of car imaginable grease. You just can't run them against each other at the same time.

this may be a noob question but when you try to join a room online will it find the track by itself or do you have to manually find the track and then join the room. I have been trying to race the sprints online for hours and can get in a sigle room unless I start it myself. Im about to give up and download the LMs and hope i have better luck.....

sprints cars need the 1.1 upate from SbS. sbs late models you need 3.0 and 3.1 to race online. make sure you have 1255 version of rfactor.

Yeah make sure you have the 1255 version, or you will not be able to connect to a server. If you also don't have the same track that is on the server you will not be able to get in. What ever track the server is set on it will take you there as long as you have that track and have version 1255. Red you have version 1255 as the link I sent you was for that version. Grease9 also go get team speak and go to www.dakotadirtracing.net and log on there if you are having trouble. Smoke, Viper, Scrapmetal, or myself (DDR_JWag6) will be more than happy to help you. Hope to be racing with you guy's soon!

grease9,

All the tracks are not in the 1 and 2 packs! This is the biggest pain with this game. You can get most of the tracks at sbs. Get all the boz tracks. Between them two sites you should have all tracks being raced. Another thing is you will run in to is when you enter a server it will kick you out if you don't have the skin pack. Fix look at what server you are useing and go google the name and find there website and go download there skin pack. If you have any qustions feel free to contact me. [email protected]

Red,

You do not need a password or conformation to get on teamspeak. The teamspeak window is on the right side of the page. Just click the non-race lobby and it will let you in. If you need anything more I'm here to help.

Good info on the skin pack, that fix one of my troubles.Maybe you guys could put out a complete start up guide to walk somebody thought this. . To help future new people. One of my friends is freaking out because of how much i have had to do. He is like me not much compter skills .He asked if there is a manual to walk him throught it.

That might be a good idea to help get more people into it . I got 7 or 8 more guys that are looking at this. I dont have the compter skills to help them or the time. Just an idea.

Will be at the Chilli Bowl the rest of the week so wont have alot of time to work on this.

There is a stickied rfactor discussion at www.pitgate.com in the general topic forum. I wrote out a lot of information that you will need to get started. I'd post it in here but it would get lost in the back pages after some time. It will be easier for you to find there since its stickied.
