I think it is all about brand identification. Q is Quaker State so I am guessing that that marketing plan for "Q" didn't have the success they were hoping for so they are switching back to Quaker State. That is the way I see it.

They are always trying new SKU#'s that don't sell. Then it sets for awhile then Big Lots buys it. They are going to go to all 6 packs of product in the near future, They are already dropping colored/perforated bxs. Which hopefully will help our picking of material. They also got rid of the SNAP product a couple of years ago, Don't know if they sold the name or just dumped it. We are there only contracted warehouse & we do the best job.We did get a nice trophy for being the best they got. Be nice if they would come off with some tickets to Eldora or something in the area or bring in Kinser & any other sponsored cars/drivers. Kinser would be cool since he's here for the Doty.

Wow "fanatic" sounds like you are the inside-man on this stuff. Thanks for the info, even though I didn't quite get the lingo, I got the jest of it.

IBRacin said the word success, If they don't sell something they try something new. Change is always good, right ??? I've worked @ my present job 7 yrs & 6 of it was dealing with Shell Lubricants, Chances are if you use thier product I picked it, checked it, loaded it, unloaded it, trained someone who has done all the above in that time. I have got a Quaker State & Pennzoil Racing t - shirt in that time also. In other words if @ 1st you don't succeed try again.

speaking of lubricants... I hear KY is pulling their NASCAR monies and moving them to the SKR camp!
their first ad campaign... Lube it up first; or he'll stick it in you dry!
