This might be a strange suggestion. Although, people that know me would say yep that is Erich lol.

Is there anyone on here that can write music? With Daniels and Sanders passing this week and Darrell Wooley a few weeks ago we are loosing people that built SFS everyday. I was thinking that someone could write like a tribute song for the race track. Not in a sense of the track closing but more of a history type of song. This song could be played on KXY when they do the advertisments for the track and such.

There are enough people on this board that have memories to spare so content I would not think would be a problem.

Just a thought I had.

"Who gonna fill their shoes" by George Jones is a song I think about in times like these.

Good question catpuppy. I believe there should be words written with music accompany to Honor all of the Great People we have lost this year. I know there is someone I am missing, but here's my list;

Harold (Lloyd) Leep Jr. (my freind, and mentor when it came to lettering Race Cars)

Jack Claxton (the Voice of Fairgrounds Speedway) his Mother-in-Law jokes were the Best.

Velma Suggs (the Rock of all rocks in my circle) the wife of my all time Hero, D.E. (Dalton Eugene) Suggs.

Darrell Wooley (he named my first car "The Junk Yard Dog" and with alot of truth.)

Danny Daniels (a Real Racer and sportsman) hard to find these days.

Tom (Sluggo) Sanders (what can you say about Sluggo.) He was a racer, and was in it for the racer.
