with the current hooked up race cars, good comprtition is much more accidental now than planned.
I have seen good 360 shows, good 410's shows and even a couple decent taxi shows.
Racing is passing, not following.
format can at times be used to make up for hooked up race cars, but a good race is still more of an oddity than it was 20 years ago.
The crowds (lack of) in the stands reflect a lot of the same opinion as I have.
Time for racing in general to pull their heads out of the sand and do what they KNOW needs to be done to make the races a better value for their entertainment dollars and hours.

count the regions buddy.... remember they are still SANCTIONED and run by ASCS.
and with that rightful logic - they are the most national thing in the country.
hey no one had to think it is the best. but no one should argue that it truly is the most NATIONAL.
also for the fella with the Schatz pic that said if it aint 410 it aint shit ------- sorry but i think the majority of dirt track fans across the nation will disagree. i shouldnt go as far to put 360's of 410's as i do. mistake on my part. just saying that what the 360's give up in HP - they make up for in better racing and the cost to see it. you dont get charged just to watch that jackass in your pic (schatz) win from the pole all the time have a good day....

OK, so which way do you want it? Do you want National recognition for running a bunch of regional series, or do you run a "National" series that currently has races in 6 states? It seems to me that if you win a regional championship, you won't win any National championship....anywhere, anyhow.
When the ASCS "national" tour is real, it'll have to race in more than the 6 states in the central US, otherwise, in my mind, it'll just be another "regional" series....
IMO, all the regions of the ASCS do is allow the ASCS to collect membership fees from their point chasers - but they're still 360's, and they're still regional. If you want to go watch them, do so.
Just don't bash those of us who don't like 'em......

I do not dislike 360's, and I do respect them for puting out a good quality product. But any organization that races in just 12% of the states is quite far from national. (The All Stars at 22% do not even claim to be "national" It is in fact regional, no matter what PR label you choose to apply. It is what it is.

maybe they should change it to the ASCS traveling series so more of you could sleep at night. it's great sprint car racing that doesn't stick to just a couple of states or aggrivate most of their teams every time they turn around. and atleast they are moving FORWARD.
