Henry, not to get off topic, but I watched your movie on Showtime the other night. I thought actor Matt Dillion did an excellent job in your portrayal. Buy American!

you've got to check out Mickey Rourke's roll in Barfly, but then it was Mickey Rourke playing a hard drinking womanizer...hmmm
kind of like david dukovny in Californication...
i'm all for buying American, but at what expense? the dow dropped another 5.5% (440.99 points); the big three are looking for handouts and middlefinger and his cronies are through with concessions...

In the interest of transparency and clearly up nasty rumors, could we see some recent photos of those modern ISO Certified offshore factories? Seems it would help squash any negativity if folks could see under what conditions your sprint car chassis are being made offshore. Thanks in advance.

The following link may suffice. It shows some of our jigs and machinery.
A link at the bottom has a movie that shows a rear halo being bent (as a one step process). 30 seconds to complete both bends. This process takes considerably longer in our US facility (unfortunately, we don't have the resources to have such an automated bender here). A cost savings that we eventually pass onto the customer.

Hey what chassis does the XXX copy? Seems like I read that it is a copy of popular chassis but I was not sure which one.
Thanks
P.S. For all you red blooded americans (Henry) check out where your Authentic Harley Davidson part are made "OFF SHORE"

Again off topic for which I apologize, but yes Barfly was a great movie. And from what I have read is hard to come by nowadays something of a classic.

seems the majority of all popular chassis fit considerably similar on a jig (one in which my chassis builder uses), Maxim,Eagle,JnJ,JEI, XXX, Schnee, Wolf, all seem similar, Avendger is one I find considerably different and like to build items solely for thier brand car, otherwise your wheel base measurements and chassis options seem to be the real differance, ask any American chassis builder to add something specifically to your car and it will proubly get done, maybe Mark can answer any questions on options to a XXX ?, say, if I wanted both upper wing mounts added ? , front wing spuds? standard rail? 90% of the time, a wheel base is moved with the aid of longer or shorter swedge tubes or (bolt on Items) HUH, I think there is too much talk of the chassis , where as I think the chassis is proubly the most generic part, and maybe a XXX is a generic, typical, most popular dimentions, of a chassis, the items bolted to it are what matters, sure there is fine detail to a given chassis ,(also dependant on buyer) I dont think it is rocket sience , I simply have stayed with the same chassis because I know what works ,and all my previous Items will bolt to another one, the practicallity and financhal step was wieghed out , otherwise, Id proubly make the switch ,True, My 2000 Harley sportster 1200 custom front forks are made in? you guessed it! step into the 20th century.

Our chassis is a copy of an 86 Gambler, just like everyone else’s
Without mentioning any brand names, it has the same geometry as the most popular chassis's on the market, as far as pick up points go. Radius rod pickups, torsion bar offsets and heights, ladder location, motor plate location, shock mounts, wing spuds and tabs, bumper spuds, etc, etc are inline with pretty much all other makes. Many of the dimensions are available here ... http://www.xxxraceco.com/chassis%20dimensions.htm
We have (however) changed some tube thicknesses, diameters, bends and weld locations and such to what "we think" makes the chassis work better and safer. We consider our R&D staff here in WA among the best in the world, and they are always 'tinkering" with different configurations. However, I think a little contradictory to the industry norm, we don't come out with a "new model" each year. Instead, when we find and have tested/confirmed something that works, we integrate it into production on the next chassis we build. That way, the chassis you purchase is the most up to date one we offer.
Possibly not well known in the industry is that we also build custom XXX chassis (right here in WA state). They are generally $400 - $500 more than our standard offerings (but still probably $750 to $1,000 cheaper than most), and you can pretty much specify whatever options you want. Flop tube, car that drives hard on the left, wheel base, backset, safety bars, shifter type and location, seat bar height, belt bar height, custom spuds, custom ladder locations, torsion tube offset and heights, addition of sway bars, etc, etc.
