Just read, and I mean just before I logged on here, the October 31, 1973 issue of National Speed Sport News. There was a letter to the editor from Bud. Sounds like he didn't particularly care for wings and straight up starts.

The book sounds well worth checking out.

I agree Car Wash. Of course I haven't read the book yet, but anyone who has heard Bud spin a tail will probably want a copy of this book. I have my order in for 2 copies (one for me and one for a Christmas present). I personally can't wait. I don't know a lot of the guys mentioned, but that doesn't mean that Bud doesn't have something interesting to say... and from what I understand - he didn't hold any punches in his writings.
