due to the 2 thursday games - all picks need to be in by 7pm Thursday. can ya'll believe the TV schedule for football this week? thursday night espn will have some bum Maryland game - while at the moment no one is picking up the #10 vs. #12 matchup that has huge BCS implications. bummer. well thanks to those who played in week 2. remember anyone can play. but for the overall - players have to play every week - so we are down to 13 who have played in everything both weeks.........

dude if you look at the schedules of all games this weekend. lol not good. me and wescoe spent close to hour just deciding what matchups to put out there. we didnt want to put matchups out there that everyone would unanimously agree on. like ou's game. no one would take A&M. so we went with matchups with BCS implications. the TCU is a big one. but so is GT vs. UNC. almost the entire ACC is tied right now - so that bcs bid is way up in the air. and those 2 are of the better teams in the acc. in the pro - just avoided really bad matchups. like oakland AT carolina. thats a no brainer. it came down to puttin either the MNF game on there - which is incredible weak (SF AT Arizona) - or the Houston game. the MNF should be a zona win by about 34. especially with it being in arizona. so far the logic has worked well - prob should not a put the ou game on there last week. but like we went with the PITT game rather than the OSU game. and it had tremendous benefit. the pitt/nd game was close hard fought - one of the best of the year (4 overtimes) the osu game was exactly what we thought it would be. a blowout. to be honest - i'm always and extremely open to suggestions on matchups. i'm just tryin to put ones out there that are good, competitive, and questionable. i wandered bout puttin penn st. at iowa on there - but opted instead to put the ohio st. game on there. NW has a better chance against Ohio st. - than Iowa does again the nittany lions i think.
ok thats my lenghty response lol. naw i'm just tryin to put matchups out there that are either good - like both teams either good or ranked. i know i'm doing that at the cost of some interest - but i think its better to have some good matchups that on paper are questionable - than have a bunch of no brainers like the OU game. and yeah - those really are the toughest matchups out there. unless we want to pick between MAC games. which i'm down to do if others are too lol. i like MAC games. watching one right now lol.....

Man,I'm just giving you a hard time.I think you do an excellent job with these games and I SO appreciate you doing this!It's fun no matter how terrible I do.lol The next 3 weeks in the big 12 are going to be very interesting.

I appreciate it fellas. ironically this takes much more time than the racing league did. and i didnt foresee it either lol. but yeah its a pretty cool continuation of what we did since march in the racing league. i think i will bypass doing this for college basketball tho - i'll be needing a fantasy vacation by then lol.

how much BS is it that tonights college football game on espn is 2 bum acc teams - va tech and maryland. and one of the games of the week with HUGE BCS implications that just so happens to be tonight - tcu vs. utah ------ aint even freakin on TV!!!!!!!!!!!! such piddly bs. all because the punk "big" conferences have all the contracts. notice how there is never any mountain west games on espn? they are only on Versus. and they aint even pickin it up tonight. everyone give thanks to sports affiliates for giving so much national attention to the smaller schools in smaller conferences trying to accomplish big things. the retardation of what gets televised and what does not - makes me highly look forward to college basketball. damn near anything and everythng gets televised every night of the week.
