The Winter Nationals are scheduled for '09 on east Bay's web site, Jan 28 thru31 for the 360's but I would be careful about getting tickets early. It is prudent to buy them on the day of the race to avoid facing East Bays ticket return policies.

Just be prepared for high airfares and high hotel rates as the Super Bowl is in Tampa Bay the same weekend as the 360 Nationals.

I received a flyer from them last week that says they are January 28th through the 31st. The 28th is practice day.

It looks like it won't be a National Series but a regional series race. Keep checking on that.

It dosen't offer the payday of old. The first two days don't pay what a regular show payed 5 years ago. The cost of travel and the Super Bowl overlap are going to challenge the out-of towners. The current promoters have been shrinking Winternationals sprint races since they assumed control. But hey, if you like Late Models they have 6 nights of SRO and the hard slick track is better suited to their racing.

It would not surprise me if East Bay was not a ASCS National race or maybe one with no points. Imagine with the new National Tour coming on board many of the drivers/teams might not be ready by January or have drivers in Australia. The last thing ASCS wants to do is start this new high profile series without a good core set of racers and they will have that ability if they starting keeping points in March. My bet is the National Tour kicks off at Devils Bowl in March.
I was looking at going to East Bay but after my initial research of airfares I most likely will be sitting this one out.

My flyer says $1500 Thurs & $1500 Friday and $10,000.00 Saturday. All it says is ASCS 360 Sprints & FI Mini Sprints.
