Go figure.. Schatz gets another.

Anybody besides me wonder why Veneziano, or the Outlaw head honchos, said only the top 6 in each heat transfer into the feature when all 8 started the feature? And Robert Bell started the A feature after not even qualifying. I think I may sign into the pits the next time the Outlaws have a 25 car field... then I can take home $800.

Anybody that was there... how did Dollansky look? I'm guessing he pulled off.

First off, there were only 25 cars there so all qualified for the feature. Robert Bell did try to qualify but spun on the first lap and flipped on the second lap. Dollansky finished his heat race but the track was so dry and huggy pole that there was NO racing in the heats, so I can't say what he looked like.....he finished where he started. The track was a little rough in the corners from the tire tracks from the water truck driving around so that may have played a role in Dollansky's decision to sit out. They reworked the track after the heats and it made a huge difference. A top groove and a low groove.

Now for the WoO favoring Schatz. I thought the initial start should have been called back because Madsen took off way before the white line but the feature stayed green only to have a red for a flipping Kennedy. The yellow was given in two of the three heat races so why not the feature. IF the WoO favored Schatz, the feature should have had the caution waved and Madsen sent back a row....JMO.

The feature wasn't bad but the heats were terrible due to track conditions.

There was a micro-midget flip that severely injured the driver. He was unconscious when he left the track so say a prayer for that driver, that he is okay. Have a good one.

The driver of the MOLS #19 (Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprints) was John Heffernon Jr. Are thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
