On Saturday night November 1st at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma the OCRS sprint car series will run in the 2nd annual Fall Classic. This special event will pay $2000 to the main event winner with a minimum of $300 paid to start the feature race. This is a OCRS points paying event. "This is a tremendous purse that we were able to put together with Tri-State Speedway" exclaimed OCRS co-promoter Barry Grabel. " Tri-State Speedway is one of the best tracks we race at and the staff there is first class. We look forward to another great race at Tri-State." 2 time defending OCRS champion Mike Goodman of Tulsa won the July 6th event.

Heading into this Saturday nights 43rd Annual Winter Nationals @ Enid Speedway Park, Rose Oklahoma's Jamie Passmore leads the 2008 championship points chase. Passmore leads the OCRS series with 5 feature victories and hopes to close out the season by taking the last 2 events remaining on the schedule.

Hoping to derail Passmore's plans are Tulsa's Matt Sherrell (2nd in points), Danny Smith of Sand Springs (3rd in points) and Goodman (4th in points). Sherrell is looking for his first feature win of 2008 while earning 4 runner-up finishes this season. Smith has collected 2 feature wins while Goodman has triumphed four times in 2008. Going into the Enid event, only 59 points separate 2nd - 4th in the standings. Rounding out the top 5 point chasers for 2008 is Shane Pace. Like Sherrell, Pace is looking for his first checkered flag of the year and would like nothing better than to claim his first trophy of 2008 prior to the upcoming off season.

Gates open at 2pm for Tri-States 2nd Annual Fall Classic with hot laps @ 5pm and racing gets underway @ 6pm. For further information contact Barry Grabel: (918) 260-3899 or Tri-State Speedway (918) 436-2914

A-Main

1) $2000

2) $650

3) $500

4) $450

5) $375

6) $350
