I am looking to buy a few photos of Richard Griffin in the Speedmart #91. I have an old Open Wheel from around 1985, with the yellow street legal Indy Car on the cover, and in there, there is an article on the "Gasman", and some photos from Mike Arthur. I always loved that White, Orange, and Purple car. Does anybody have any info on where I can purchase any photos of this car? Or have any contact info for Mike Arthur? Photodaddy? Dave Hill? Gordo? Do any of you guys have any shots from when he was at the Nationals then?
Regards...Beef

Just curious but what nationals are you referring to, the Pacific coast? I think you would have a better chance from someone who was at the Western World or just Manzy or Ascot around that time.
Good luck.................

Hi Steve, did you run at USA the other weekend? I heard that Johnny Herrera is still showing them how to get it done in his dads 45x. Man that cars been around a long time. I watched Ricky Hood in it when Johnny was gone and he was doing the same. The old man should get recognition for what he's done with that car for all these years. The last time I saw that car was at Canyon a few years ago and Johnny put a whipping on em all, big time.
Good luck and what next for you?
Kenny

Great Photo. Takes me back to my old Manzy days. Is that the old Tom Klein car? If it is I think Slinkards got that from him and ran it. I know they got one of the blue Klein cars from him.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

That's Klein's car - photo is from early 1989. That was a Lightning chassis that got scrapped midway through the season in favor of a Rick Stewart car. 1989 was also the year Griffin ran the AIS Indy Car series and won rookie of the year.
