Trevor Green to extend Cali campaign? Andre Weich 05.FEB.07
Lewis/Green Racing announced a few weeks ago that they intend to undertake a limited campaign in California this coming season, using Tommy Tarlton's workshop as base.
We caught up with Trevor at the Australian Nationals in Adelaide this past weekend where he told Sprintcar Daily that team principal Barry Lewis is keen to extend the duration of the West Coast campaign. And that means getting over to Cali as soon as the PCR track championships conclude on April 7. With the Golden State Series and the Parramatta City Raceway overlapping in March, it means Green will miss at least the first seven GSCS meetings. Enough to rule him out of contention for the King of California crown, but with 20 events remaining he could still challenge for GSCS Rookie of the Year honors. In order to do the extended California campaign, the team needs sponsorship to the tune of between $30 -$40K ($24 - $32K in US currency). Potential sponsors (in either California or Australia) may contact Barry Lewis on +61 412271184 or e-mail: [email protected] Green also mentioned that Peter Murphy will drive the car at the World of Outlaws meeting at Thunderbowl Raceway, Tulare, CA on February 23 & 24. The car currently sports the familiar red & gold livery of the teams Australian sponsor, Adrad .
The two car team is available for complete re-design to the advertising needs of potential sponsors.
Sprintcar Daily will provide comprehensive coverage of all sprint car events run under the John Padjen Motorsports banner, including the GSCS and Civil War series, as well as the Gold Cup later in the year.
