Congrats to Wes and Michael on feature wins. Please take note that these events were not Bandit Series races. Kings added these races for fun and provided extra races to fill in some dark dates. Maybe they will be added to 2009.

The count may have been low but for late season adds this was fine. All 7 that raced this week-end I can say from the results are great racers and raced their hearts out.

I'll add that 11 racers that earned Bandit points this year were at Perris. Some were regulars there but some went to tune up for the big season end stuff.

We will see you next week-end for the Bandito season finale at Santa Maria with extra money on the line with a 40 lap season ending feature on the smooth and fast Santa Maria 1/3 mile clay. I heard that Danny Sheridan's 1 lap track record is in some serious jeopardy. More to come on that tomorrow.

I would rather watch seven hard driving sprint cars than 30 door slamers, taxi cabs, stock cars, whatever you want to call them. At least the sprinters are real race cars. Don't get all butt hurt all you stock car drivers, I own two stock cars and a pony stock too, but really they're not really RACE CARS!

Ziggy, love the sprint cars also.

I gotsta tell ya race cars have doors too. There are many great open wheel shoes that came (trained) in stockers and many that use their time in open wheel cars to make a living in cars with doors on the side.

Mike Kirby is a damn fine sprinty car dude and is a stud in anything hitting on all cylinders and slinging dirt- is running a late model. Daniel Sheridan won a couple of stock car championships early in his career just for a couple of 'zamples.

But I don't think you really believe that. You wouldn't own something you didn't like, even a little bit. I'll bet you even tooled around the track in one of your non-racers and climbed out with a grin on your grill.

Racers love racing, we just have our preferences which is OK.

I just don't understand why people have to bag on other divisions. I'm a stock car driver but i love sprint cars and will drive sprint cars as well as stock cars on any given day. I plan on running a sport compact, street stock, and a sprint car on thanksgiving weekend and will treat each division the same. I agree with Pete. Everyone likes a certain division better, and that is understandable. I like every division.

You go Jeremy...This week-end at Santa Maria they are having our Bandit finale- a 40 Lapper plus a big huge mini stock thing and Dwarf car deal. Go to the SMS site and check it out. They are calling it the NO ENTRY FEE NATIONALS- pay your pit pass and race...

And another one- Jimmy Reeves has feature wins and championships in the modifieds and I think Street Stocks (including 2008 Kings championship) and was a Bandit stud and a half feature winner a few seasons back.

He sold his sprint car stuff when the Bandito/SCRA divide happened- one of those good racers who just wanted to race without the drama. That dude can wheel a car, any time any where. It is too bad he isn't in a sprinter. When Jimmy climbs outta any race car his grin is wide ('cept when he is peeved- but that can be in any car). He is a guy that loves to race and race he does!

Guys I didn't say I didn't like other types of racing, I said I would rather watch 7 hard driving sprint cars than --------------------. I was pokin' fun at those complaining about there only being seven sprinters!

Ziggy ,if you choose to be politically incorrect about one thing in life ,you chose the correct forum.SCRAFAN.COM-Sprint Car Racing Association.Com-....Guys this ain't Stock Car Racing Association . com........this guy dosen't spend all his spare time and money on Sprint Cars cause he thinks their the same as pony stocks..he's one of the few,the proud,a sprint car owner......If his only flaw is that he loves sprint cars to much..well Ziggy fo' President....by the way there is a purpose for stock car racing..it eases the burden on landfills...B.T.W. the 1973 USAC champions Sprint car is restored ,on display at Knowville,the1973 pony stock champions car is probly melted down in that patio furniture you bought at Wal-Mart

just to be clear, I am a street stock driver that has driven just about everything from "Pony stocks" to late models as well as sprint cars. This forum is not restricted to sprint cars but I do understand that it is meant for sprint cars. That is why I am on it, I am apart of sprint car racing just as everyone else on here is.

I believe this was the Gutierrez' teams first win in a sprint car and certainly won't be his last. He has been close alot this year and motor problems late in the year slowed him down and cost him the Bandit ROY contention.

He is going to be one of the stars of open wheeled racing for a while. He has been fast in the Walkers midget too. He doesn't turn 18 until next spring like a slew of Bandit Rookies (and Jonathon Henry)- when that bunch does, watch out USAC/CRA. Any one of 'em will make their marks in the win column.

Justyne turns 18 any day now I think. So watch out for that fast 'un also...the future is bright...

Hey Jeremy;

Didn't mean to upset you. We race my stock cars and my pony stock at Barona Speedway, down here in San Diego. You're welcome any time.
