Due to circumstances that have occured up in Aberdeen this morning, the sprint-car race scheduled for this coming Friday have been cancelled. Apparently, after a city council meeting this morning, the current promoter was voted out effectvie immediatly, therefore no race this weekend. I don't have alot of details, but I can tell you that I was up there myself this past weekend and there was a big story on the front of the Aberdeen newspaper regarding the promoter (in his first year of promoting) and the future of the race track. Thanks to everyone that was going to come up and race, as alot of people have taken their own personal time into getting extra money lined up for this race, along with commitment from at least 23 sprint-car racers. We do have to look at the big picture of auto-racing in the Aberdeen area though, and hope everyting up there works out.
