don't remember the rest but there was some really good racing tonite. I got there just in time to watch the "G" feature get started.

75 cars entered on Friday night... 71 cars started in the feature races...

That has me safe, so far, in my bet with dirttrack234.... Smile=

usually there are about the same amount of cars.... there always seem to be about 10 new cars on saturday. I have never heard of the field growing on sunday. I wouldnt be surprised if there were 85 cars tonite and 90 on sunday. $15.00 for adults but last nights action was well worth that $15.00

you should come on up, you wouldn't be disappointed, thats for sure.

I can tell you that the racing last night was top notch!!!!

dirttrack, yes, you do still have 2 more days.......

I admit when I'm wrong, I really thought the car count for this race and the quality of racing would be way down this year. I was wrong on both accounts...

Congrats to Enid Speedway Park for putting on another awesome big show!!!!

Congrats to the # 327, Chad Mcnamara, he has won this race in 2005, 2006, and now in 2008!!!!! Smile

dirttrack234, I have officially now won the bet with you(hope you pay up...) Smile

Now I want to comment on just a couple of things that happened this weekend....

First of all, I want everyone to know that there was some awesome street stock racing all 3 days this year!!! My hat is off to all the drivers for putting on such a wonderful show!!!! Smile

second of all, there was an incident after the races tonite that led to more incidents, I will not mention any details for that is for the authorities to do. I just will say this... The fans had been released into the pit area and there was an altercation...

I heard(with many children right there) a lot of curse words and threats and they were coming from the people being escorted out and track officials and even the promoter!!! I actually seen a child look terrified because of what was being said. This is very sad and gives the sport a very bad name, I blame all of you that were involved in any manner for this.... Everyone of you should stand on the front straight next weekend and apologize to all of the innocent children who watched you ALL act like trolls from the underworld. Shame on all of you that were involved, from the promoter, the track officials, and the people being escorted out!!!! The saddest part of all this is, if people just use common sense, then nothing like this would ever occur!!!! All of you need to APOLOGIZE, to each other, and most important to the FANS! (for there was alot of them in the pits at this time) frown

On another note.....

Dustin (HOLLYWOOD) Allen, I hope you are okay and quick to recover from your injury.

All in all this was a AWESOME WEEKEND of racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

David,

I just wanted you to know that the altercation had nothing to do with a previous thread, I believe that I know of the thread that you are talking about and Im fairly sure that none of the nice people from Hennessey were involved at all Smile

I have only been posting on this board this year and can tell you that I have not seen any of the partcipants of tonites stupidity ever post anything on here!!!

Glad you were here and you are right there should not have been such a long break before the A feature....

Well then I will delete my post as I "assumed" wrong. My apologies, now I just hope my cous didn't read anything. Sorry, no place in racing for behavior of that sort. No excuses are warrented.

Nope we were not involved in this one. I was busy working on Dustin Allens car trying to get it loaded. So his crew and family could get to the hospital with him. But still do not understand what the fight was about but it was very uncalled for.

First off, I want to say that we went to this race for the first time this past weekend and the racing was great and we enjoyed "most' of the trip.

The problem with this track is the staff!

Racing is just like any other sport. When you put your heart and soul into something, spend a lot of your money and time on it and then get your adrenaline pumping on top of that, tempers are going to flair at times. That's just part of it. The track's staff is responsible for calming situations down and doing everything in their power to keep things running smoothly. This track fails terribly in this area.

The staff at this track seems to be awfully quick to fly off the handle and then they become the problem. They are provoking people in these heated situations instead of staying rational and calm. The track officials & so called "security" have no business putting their hands on anybody (except maybe in a self defense situation), they should NEVER push and shove people who are only trying to ask a question, which is exactly what happened on Saturday night. I have never seen a more riduculous group of people than the ones that are supposed to be running this track! They all need to find some other line of work where they aren't around the general public especially the mental cases they call security. I was told that these morons are Garfield County Deputy Sheriff's and if that's the case, thank God I don't live in Garfield County Oklahoma! If these inbreds will shove a 16 year old kid all around the track in front of hundreds of people just because he dared to ask a question then there is no telling what they would do if they stopped you on a dark country road with nobody around. These red necks need to learn a little self control!!

Just one more thing. If you are thinking of visiting this track you should make sure that you don't expect any fair call's, any explanations, any track preperation, don't expect to be treated with any kind of respect and most of all you should watch the movie "The Hills Have Eyes" about 30 times just to prepare yourself for the visit. Smile

gotdirt66 is correct in alot of what he/she has to say but I dont agree with all the redneck and hillbilly references.....

I will only mention these two instances because I actually witnessed them......

I have seen "security" come into the stands, because a certain family was being quite rude and using a lot of foul language. The problem with security was they went to the completely wrong family and removed them from the grandstands, as the innocent family was trying to explain that it wasn't them the "security" started getting physical and using foul language and the whole time the guilty family just sat there and snickered and the whole time there were many people trying to explain to security that they were throwing out the wrong people!!! WOW!!!!

The other incident was a man was drinking beer and sitting his empty cans down by his feet, not in anyones way, and "security" came by and told him that he would have to go throw his 2 empty cans in the trash or he would be led out of the grandstands.

The whole time "security" is addressing this man, they were using foul language and being no more the a playground bully!!!

I truly understand the need for security but security needs to understand thier role for which they are paid to achieve. I'm just guessing thats not how they are suppose to act!!!!

I have heard many versions of what happened sunday evening and stand by my first conclusion, if ANY of the PEOPLE involved would have just used common sense, then this incident in the pits would not have ever happened. I hope everyone involved are truly ashamed of the actions they chose!!!!

dirtrack234, congrats on flagging this coming saturday!!!

wasn't that some great racing this last week....

Its good to know that you are going to keep your end of the bet, especially with the way the bottom is fallin out of the stockmarket lol I will meet with you after the races.

Is it time to stop all fans from entering the pits(even after the races)? I speaking on the issue of safety... I have NO IDEA what needs to be done, I only know that something needs to be done when the elements become uncontrollable. You said it best when you stated there are 2 sides to every story.... I seen the end of this whole deal and it was a shameful incident for everyone involved!!!

I still believe that cooler heads always prevail and believe that everyone involved (track officials, "security", and the people who were escorted out) should all apologize to the fans this weekend.... what do you think???

well lets just put it this way,

anyone of the people involved could have stopped the whole incident, way before it got out of hand!!! There for, each one of them are equally responsible for this incident. It would be shameful of any of them to carry this any further.

I have spoke enough on this and don't want to anymore...... but if this carries on like I was told it would, then I am posting all the facts to be known, so everyone will know.....
