I loved the half mile at SFS and I always thought there were more good WoO races than bad on it. I also loved watching the weekly races on there, ever since I started going back in 1969. Do you miss the half mile? Vote here.

There's something wrong here. I am a fan and don't miss the 1/2 mile at all yet my vote got screwed up somehow.
I don't miss the frieght trains runnun around that track at all. If they ran every car in it's class it might worth it but the follow the leader deals SUCK.

That's because you hit the wrong button. The only reason there was a freight train was because Lanny doesn't care if there is a racetrack to race on. It's all about the Money screw the racers.

It screwed up your vote up too? Maybe I didn't click the wrong button after all. I just assumed that I must have since it counted it for missing the half mile but if it did your vote the same way then maybe there is something screwy going on here? Ha ha. I agree with you though. I don't miss the frieght train races either.

HEY DOGWATER AND SKEESIKS, AND DAVID SMITH
Hey I clicked on don't miss as well and put me down for miss. So where it should read 6 fans miss and 3 fans DON'T miss, instead those 3 were in with miss making it 9. So there is obviously somthin wrong with the poll. It's like the Dieboldt Voting Machines in Ohio in the last presidential election in 04.......people were voting for Kerry but it was still comin out Bush, and then poll workers were ordered by local governments to BURN the voting tapes. hhhmmmmmm wonder how much that cost Halliburton.......
But I highly doubt there is an alterior motive behind David's poll here........but you never know. lol

The best thing about the 1/2 mile was standing on the backstretch going into turn 3 and watching the Outlaws hauling it in there.

hey david, the pro stocks, sprints and the late models all put on a very good show. the last time the latew models ran i was standing on the back stretch about where the sign is located, and the late models were hauling the freight.

it really sucks I never got to see it from there being as young as I was then. Guess that is one of the FEW drawbacks to being younger than most of you

Hmmm. Not one fan does'nt miss the 1/2 mile. I call for recount of the votes.
Man David, that's about the coolest thing I ever saw. As for good racing on that track, a good race was few and far between. Most of the time they were strung out by the second lap and in a line. All following the leader. Looked alot like a napcar chase.

Not only that, but since the 3/8 has been around, I don't think anyone has got hit in the face with a brake rotor flying through the pits.
