Yes, Ford hot-lapped, but decided not to race for fear of ruining the whole engine. I'm not quite sure as to what exactly the problem was, but I did see the Ford hauler take off before the start of the first heat race. It was a kind of a bummer considering the car count was not that great last night. Too bad for him, I always enjoy watching Ford. Oh well, I'm sure that he will be at Calistoga next weekend.

Doesn't Ford run with the USAC Western Midget series? If so, it would stand to reason that he would be there. Unless I don't know something.
