ATTENTION DRIVERS & RACEFANS:  

IRA’s premiere event of the season is coming to Cedar Lake Speedway the 8^th Annual Jerry Richert Memorial on Saturday September 6^th, 2008. Come early for the autograph session with the series top drivers and some of sprint car racings biggest stars and stay late and celebrate Jerry Sr’s honor with a free BBQ in the pits after for the fans & drivers put on by the Richert Family & Friends. There is over a total of $5,500.00 in bonus money on top of the IRA payout from The Richert Family and Friends in addition to over $1,000.00 in product donations from Triple XXX Race Products. The autograph session will start at the front gate at 4:30pm on Saturday Septemember 6^th & the fun will continue in the pits at JR’s trailer following the races. The base Cedar Lake/Richert/IRA payout before bonus added is a $18,250 A-main purse paying $3000 to win and $400 to start. 10th is still up at $700.

IRA is at the Superior Speedway for the Northern Nationals the night prior to Cedar Lake's Richert event, that pays $2500 to win, $300 to start.... more of a standard IRA purse.

This combination is long standing and has proven to be a great sprint car weekend.

This is one of three races I put on my "can't miss" list every year! Does anybody know if NOSA is running that evening? The River Cities Speedway site says they are racing the 4th and 5th but the NOSA site says the 5th and 6th. Would be nice to see a couple of those guys make the trip down like they have in the past.
