This is not meant to be offensive to modified fans, drivers, etc., but if there is going to be a good sprint show, why not run a wide-tire support class, like the champs? I saw the Outlaws at Dodge City this year and the support class was non-winged 305's -- smooth track both nights.

No offense taken, but I don't think the mods were to blame for the poor track condition.... it all comes down to poor track prep.
I think running a non-sprint class with the Bandits was a good call. Gives the non-sprint fans a reason to come. I can honestly say that me and my family probably would not have attended if they would have run Champ Sprints with them. We would have missed out on a great non wing show because there would not have been enough initial appeal for us, less than hardcore sprint fans, to get us through the gates... especially with a $20 ticket price.
Heck... I'm debating if I want to spend $15 on Friday to see the ASCS Sooner Region, Champs, and Pro Stocks. If you're not a sprint fan, Friday night's show offers little for you... unless you're a huge Pro Stock fan. Ha ha. As of right now I don't think I'm gonna shell out the dough for that show.

I talked to someone with ASCS last night in the pits after the races. He asked me how the race was and I said pretty good although the track looked a little rough. He said he talked to Darland about the track and Darland said that is was not to bad. The reason Darland bicycled the car in the A was b/c he had tighten the car up too much. This is from an ASCS official so take it for what you want.

If you notice Darland got a lot faster after the first caution when he got to crank on all of his adjustments.

Darland was also around the top into one, which is generally a smoother line than the middle of the track night in and night out. He was fast though. Great show!

ya'll ever seen the tracks they have in indiana?
not smooth - in fact - worse than last night half the time. its usually dry and smooth. but whenever they have moisture - its rough. look at clips from Gas City, Bloomington, lawrenceburg ----- they get pretty damn rough. they just arent as big as SFS - mostly bullrings like tonight at creek. as good as that creek show was tonight and last year - if they do that on a weekly basis all over indiana ------ bye bye.

I know that's true, but look how much better Creek was than OKC. Surely that had something to do with the other cars that were running. They do race on a lot of rough tracks, but I think all of us would still prefer smooth.
