Look at that left rear. Doesn't seem as wide as they are now....Wonder if they could go back to that so we see some racing. Smile

The tailtank may be ugly but it sure would help to end the open red flag periods for a splash of fuel.

In the '80 Nats, Kinser had to use the Trostle team car, after I guess he destroyed this one in a wingless setting.

This I believe is a Mitchell chassis.

 

By the way, in '81 Kinser had gone to a Stanton.

That is the car karl kinser designed and denny michell build for him. Karl switch builder in 80 or 81 he went with gary stanton. Me thinks

Yep - that makes sense. Steve just bought this car back himself from an auction in Auburn, IN at the end of May. He said that suprisingly had most of the original running gear and everything still with this car. Wonder if he is starting a museum or maybe vintage racing??

the position of his arms on the sterring wheel and the attitude of the front wheels is interesting.

Gotta love those old Simpson darth vader helmets too!

The turd wasnt on the hood, it was the gas tank, lol
