$35 tickets for WoO first visit = OK
$3 beers (instead of the regular $2) = BULLSHIT
23 CARS = REALLY?!
Seriously. How in God's name can you have a track within 2.5 hours of Knoxville and get 23 freaking cars for a WoO event?
Disgraceful.
Oh yeah, the track sucked. Way to have a cushion. OH WAIT. It was halfway up the track.
If I want a $35 freightrain, I would've taken the California Zephyr to Missouri.
Ridiculous.

I think a big reason for the car count was that the nationals is approaching. Yes the track was evidently terrible , but I bet it was great to see Bruce get his first win!

Let's see...over an inch of rain fell the day before the race, so you're going to complain about the track staying heavy. Nice.

Hearing the roar of the crowd, from the infield, OVER the roar of the 410's on the track = Priceless

WOW! Great post! If there would of been 60 410's there you would be bitching that there were to many cars and it took to long to run the show, right? Just be happy you got to see the WoO at 34 Raceway. Alot of hard work was put into this. Don't blame 34 for "Knoxville guy's" not comming. You wanna see "Knoxville guy's" race GO TO KNOXVILLE!

For a venue that size, the reality is, the ticket price has to be elevated to try to pay for the show. A Knoxville regular was third, and the other was unable to start, so good showing despite low numbers. I know several Knoxville guys wanted to be there, but for one reason or another it was bad timing before the 360 and 410 Nationals. I can think of a few that probably could have been there, and probably would have been if they knew the field was short. The original July date earlier in the year may have worked better as far as car count for the locals, but when they saw the great job Josh did, maybe they were kicking themselves! Regardless, it was a great event. Did the fireworks singe anyone else's chest hair? LOL
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

I never expected too many Knoxville regulars. The WoO only drew 23 cars several years ago at Davenport. I think that night only Dennis Moore jr showed. Distance from Knoxville does not matter, few Knox regulars are from there. $800 for everyone not in the top 17 is not that great a payoff to haul from too far away.

I've always believed that if you own a car that you and you alone have the right to race it or not race it any where you please. I wish the count had been a little higher but then again the feature was over around 10:30.We hope that they can make this an annual event. The outlaws were friendly and put on the best show that track would allow that night.
I would also like to point out that the 305's did a great job with a 20 car field. Congrats to Donnie Steward on the win. And Tasker Phillips is quit the driver already at his young age. Special thanks to Heartland Harley Davidson and all the sponsors for the meet and greet on Tuesday night and supporting the 305's on Wednesday night.
Hope I spelled their names right!
Tell me how much money you got and I'll tell you how
fast you can go!

Freight train? Are you serious? I saw a LOT of passing! I saw a LOT of attempts on Josh Schneiderman that resulted in a temporary loss in position followed by him taking it back. (Great job by the way!) I saw a LOT of passing behind the top 2 with Meyers, Sides, etc. making their way up. You sound like an ESPN camera man, only staring at the very front of the field and missing all of the action a couple of cars back!

Not when the traffic is other outlaws. And not with a wing on.
