Just got off the phone with representavies from the NCRA and there will be an NCRA/Oklahoma series in 2009. I know many of you are worried about tires and what I can tell you right now is, both the Hoosier and McCreary tires will be allowed. There will be more details in my press release in a week or so.

Also there will be an NCRA/Oklahoma sport mod series in 2009 as well as a NCRAS/North Texas late model series.

For you sprint car people, there will be an NCRA 305 sprint car series based out of Kansas with the Sprint Series of Texas rules.

More complete information will follow. Just wanted to let you know mainly that it is a done deal for the NCRA/Oklahoma Modified series.

WOW All of these series could open a bunch of races in the state.

By the way from what I understand and I have have discussed this with David the sport mods are coming to the fairgrounds next year but the rules might be a little different than normal.

heard about the mod deal - so if i understand correctly - there will be 2 NCRA Oklahoma modified series? regular and sport mods right? that cool. i bet they even run some OK vs. Kansas on kansas turf at 81 and OK turf at Enid. lots of possibilities with that. good stuff.

now why in the hell are they starting a 305 series up there? Kansas already has the well established United Rebel Sprint Series.............. I guess they dont like em? or they think they can do it better? prob could do it better - i dont know anything about URSS - but I know NCRA made the right moves in the 360 sprints that ASCS was unwilling to make by doubling what it pays to start a feature.

i've noticed that oddly enough ------ it makes far more sense for OKC 360 drivers to run NCRA than it does the ASCS Sooner Region. as evidenced by only 1 runnin sooner region - but 3 or 4 runnin NCRA. this being because - its really not all that much more traveling. granted all races are in kansas - but it pays 400 to start versus 150 for sooner region. and sooner region has long ass tows to MAS (for the TX guys), Little Rock (long 4 everyone), Lawton (long for tulsa guys and expensive for tearing shit up), Waco Tx, Ft. Worth Texas, Mesquite Texas. is the ASCS Sooner point fund better than NCRA's? actually - what are each series point funds? sorry not tryin to blast on ascs - i like ascs - but NCRA made some really good moves and seems to have good things goin with all 3 of their current divisions. everyone was down on NCRA sprints at the beg. of the year ------ they could tell us what Crow taste like now.
