What a day this was...Sunset is near Omaha and sits up high on a hill. It was an April 1982 sunday afternoon show and the wind blew hard from the north all day. After 3 laps you thought you were in Iraq in a sandstorm.
Doty leads Randy Smith in the 7x, Danny in the 18, Sammy in the 1n, Wolf in the 4, Hop in the 88.

I wasn't at this particular race but I was at a WoO race at Sunset in the late '80's- good show.
How many years did Randy Smith drive for Lenard McCarl?

I almost forgot what sprint cars looked like on a track when they weren't single file!
