The list included a few tin top drivers. Which is ok I suppose, but certainly missing from the list are Nic Fass (USAC/CRA and USAC Midgets plus point leader), Cody Williams (USAC/CRA and son of Rip Williams) and Clark Templeman III (VRA 360s). I don't know if the author of the article spent much time researching all of the young drivers in California.

I know Nic Faas is almost 19..so he wouldn't be on the list ..and i believe Cody Williams is 19..if not it is close and besides i don't think he even has a top 10 finish this year at Perris...and Clark Templeman III has been racing for almost 9 years in a sprint car.according to the SCRA web site http://www.scrafan.com/profiles/templeman.c.html ..i don't think he is under 18..

Well lets see here, Cody Williams just graduated from high school - so you tell me how old you think he is? While filling in for his father Rip, he is ranked 6th in the Perris 410 traditional sprint car point championship (the championship is funded by the fans) and finished 5th in the first big purse open comp race at Victorville against some heavy hitters. Since his father's return the Jory team has now fielded a second car for young Cody. He is very competitive with USAC/CRA. Nic Faas was born September 9, 1989. That makes him 19 in September of this year. I was wrong about Templeman.

As much as I love to watch Darrell Hanastadt race and like him as a person, I think he has been racing long enough to fail the requirements for a Young Gun.
Are we having fun yet?

Hanestad was in the overall rankings, not in the young gun rankings.

Now that was a nice poke. Funny Some people aren't having fun yet, chuck. You mean Hanastadt is rated in the top 25 in California. Nothing personal against Hanastadt, but that seems a bit strange.
