The following drivers have locked themselves into the 48th running of the Johnny Key Classic to be run August 29, 20008
Bud Kaeding, Brad Furr, Jason Statler, Brent Kaeding, Evan Suggs, Kurt Nelson, Ricky Wright Jr., Craig Stidham, and Stephen Allard.
Next round of Key qualifying will be August 15, 2008

I know the first 6 drivers are correct but I think the last 3 should be Tyler Walker, Ricky Wright Jr. and Craig Stidham in that order. Walker finished 3rd., Wright 5th and Stidham 8th. July 11th. Walker made his one required appearance and finished 3rd. unless something changed.

yeah, what happened to walker. i read but usually have no reason to post, but this is intresting last year both suggs made the key on his first appearance and if i am not mistaken he was not the only one. i heard no mention of anything changing and the key race rules regarding appearances seem to be the same as last year. did walkers team know they would not be able to qualify?

I think someone just skimmed over the first group of finishers in the July 11th. race and over looked Tyler is all. As far as I know there has been no changes to the rules regarding qualifying this year. Rule says you have to make at least one appearance prior to the Key on August 29th. and finish 1, 2 or 3 or if those drivers have qualified it goes down the finish order from there. In this case, Tyler was 3rd. and should be in. I think someone will be correcting the list soon.

it seems that the list has already been corrected as this is the second posting of the latest qualifiers. it looks like this was posted by newton motorsports and i believe they get their info straight from the promotor.

Correction.......Tyler Walker is pre-qualified and Stephen Allard is not. There was an oversight as Linda stated and appologies from Ocean Speedway for any confusion.
