Destiney Hays Joins D.E.S. Inc Racing

July 7….Rio Vista, CA… D.E.S. Inc. Racing is pleased to announce the addition of a second team car for the balance of the 2008 season. Destiney Hays of Oroville, CA will join the team this Friday and Saturday at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA. After the races on Friday and Saturday Destiney Hays and Dan Simpson will have their new Kevin Sharrah Designed Shirts for sale and will have free drivers cards for the fans at the DES Racing trailer.
Destiney will team with team owner and driver Dan Simpson in identical Mike Thurmond prepared 410 sprint cars for the remaining 2008 Golden State and Silver Dollar Speedway Season. Destiney will run the 8s sprinter a number her Grandfather ran on his winning race cars.
Destiney is a proven charger, stated Simpson, and we look forward to having this talented young driver as part of our team. She brings success in both the 410 and 360 winged sprint cars and USAC sprints, both on pavement and dirt. She has raced with the World of Outlaws and went to Australia to race with the best down under stated Simpson.
Her accomplishments include: First female to win a Civil War main event, and Rookie of the year with the Civil War and Silver Dollar Speedway series in 2001. In 2002 she was co-Rookie of the Year at the Knoxville Nationals, and went to Australia where she had 5 to five finishes out of 6 races and finished 6th in the Autogear Challenge. In 2003 Destiney lead the Civil War points and finished the season 6th overall. She won her first USAC race in 2004 and was awarded 3 hard charger awards that season. In 2005 she went to the Human Performance School for 3 days of mental and physical training for racing before driving for Ford Motorsports in the mid-west midget series.
The team also plans to compete with the World of Outlaws starting at Billings MT, August 19 then to Edmonton Alberta Canada, Skagit WA, Elma WA, Cottage Grove, Or and finish the western tour at the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA September 4-6. The team also plans to participate in some selected 360 sprint car events and the three-day Trophy Cup, October 23-25 at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA.
In addition to DES Inc., DryVac Services Canada, Flowmaster, VacDewater Canada, Destiney also brings Bell racing helmets and Lady Eagle race uniforms to her car.
