Looks like they had a quality field of cars last night in V-Ville. Does anyone know who's car Espinoza was driving, and if he even pilots the Moose Mobile anymore? Pretty impressive 3rd place finish for Cody Williams in the new Jory #44 car. Good job on your win last night Seth Wilson.

Victorville Raceway owes spectators and participant and apology to the major mismanagement of their track last sat. night. This so called Sprint car race was the biggest debaucle I've seen in the 15 plus years I've watching and participating in racing. The above posted results represent 3 maybe 4 green flag laps and 60 to 70 yellow flag laps. The track conditions were undriveable, every contact ended in a maylay, the track took 20 min. to pull 2 cars infield. The flag man ,despite jeers from spectators to throw the green, insisted on forcing the cars to idle lap after lap after the lineup was straight. You might say 'one bad night,no big deal',what you don't realize is John Aden [in charge of racenight track prep] has preached to this promoter for 6 mon. the nessesity to replenish the clay in the track ,to no avail.Leaving nothing to work but sand and rock. The weight of last sat. nights folie falls completely on the shoulders of one 'Idiot'.Mike Gibson.I personlally dought any of the racers there will ever return, they came prepared [at great expence and effort] only to be put on an improperly prepared and actually dangerous track...all the above was predictible.......most of you know who I am...but just so some fool doesn't claim I'm hiding and talking Smack...Dan Tedrick ...I dought anyone will contradict my statement, whoever if you do, I have at least 200 booing fans that will back me up...

Hey Dan I don't think we have to stoop so low as to calling names, although the track was junk saturday night, I've seen a lot of dry slick tracks in the mid-west in the summer heat also. Mike dosen't quite know what to do with the track in this weather. A couple of suggestions, 1. Sheepsfoot the track and start watering it on tuesday and keep watering it so it can seep down deep. 2. After the track is prepared properly, leave it alone and if it goes dry slick, let it go black and build up some rubber, the dust will subside somewhat, and the racers will be able to get a bite on the rubber. 3. Don't chase the track with water all night. all this does is make it slimey for a few laps and then dusty and slick again. John Aden tells me they have the opportunity to get some new clay and that would be nice, but it still needs to be watered and prepared properly. Yhe key to all of this is getting the water down in the track, so that as the night goes on it will be pulled to the top. The only way to do that is to sheepsfoot itand water water water.

Dan.

You make it sound as though the track conditions are to blame for the poor show,.. Everyone was on the same race track and most managed to drive with out spinning out and or crashing. I think ALOT of the blame needs to be directed towards the drivers that over drove the track and spun out all by them selves. Although a few cars got cought up in otheres that had spun out, those who spun out did so ENTIRELY on their own, thats not the promotores fault, thats the drivers fault.

Bottom line is the drivers make the show, and on Saturday night quite a few drivers flat blew it.

Maybe they are prepping the track for doughnuts?

Ziggy, bring your grader up and service the track one night.I'll take John Aden's knowledge and skills at preparing a desert track above anyones that I have seen over the past 10 years. He does a great Job,when theres something there to work with.Look at the track, grey, not black not brown not even burnt up tan.GREY.The clays in the pits,in my driveway,IT NEEDS TO BE REPLENISHED.At the first of last year, last lap of the main, drive into the cusion and it would try to rip the steering wheel out of you hands....all thats gone now....you can't build a fan base with a crap show like last Sat. night...people in the stands were BOOING.....I called Gibson an idiot because he took a track with a lousy reputation and turned it into a place that was a joy to drive..the place to go race ...it appears he now is willing to let it swirl to the bottom of the toilet.....SAD!

Hey Grunk, thanks for the pastrami samdwich, those are great!!!

Butler is the one who deserves all the credit...I am just good at giving them away, and eating them..( I had 3 throughout the day) It was a combination of the Jack Daniels Mustard, The bread (Man that was Great Bread) and the slow cooking crock pot(which was the key)...So this is out to Butler,Kim. and the whole Fam.....Thanks for everything especially the Great patrami... I think I still owe them money for all the food they bought.. as a matter of fact I know I still do... wink
