Nick Rescino used side draft or curved injecter tubes. Was the entire injection system different,or just the tubes? On a dyno, would this produce more torque-thus more controlable, or equalise the volumetric air flow matching the shape of the exhaust?

he had cross flow injectors on that motor we all called the drag race motor. instead of the injector manifold runners curving up like you are used to seeing them, they came more straight out of the heads and curved a bit to the opposite side of the motor.i'm not sure if the stacks were curved so they could run across the top of the motor.kind of like lacing your fingers together across your chest. that is the closest i can remember and decscibe it. i believe the thought was to give a more straighter path into the intake port for more top end and rpm.

<>I believe those injectors were developed for/by the late Mickey Thompson when he built a rear engine
Indy Car for the 500 back many years ago.
