Andy Gregg to be on Full Throttle Racing Show Tuesday

By Gary Thomas

Placerville, CA – June 30, 2008…Fresh off his first career Silver Dollar Speedway victory last Friday, Placerville’s Andy Gregg will make a stop at John Katich’s Full Throttle Racing Show this Tuesday evening. To access the Full Throttle Racing Show log onto
http://www.dirtvision.com at 5pm on Tuesday night. The show is also archived the next day each week.

Gregg led all 25 laps of the main event last Friday in Chico and held off a furious late race charge from current Golden State Challenge Series point leader Jonathan Allard to pick up his very first 410 sprint car win. He had been close to winning a 410 race on a few different occasions the last couple seasons, but always seemed to have bad luck take those chances away late in the main events.

The driver known as the “Hurricane” will speak to Katich about his big win on Friday night as well as how his season is going and what to expect the rest of the year. “I’m really excited about going on the Full Throttle Show on Tuesday,” Gregg said. “There have been a lot of great drivers and people involved in sprint car racing that have been on there in the past and to be able to have a chance to go on is pretty cool.”

Gregg currently ranks seventh in the California Civil War Series standings and will look to move up in the points when the traveling tour heads for Petaluma Speedway on Saturday. Last September Gregg won his second career Civil War main event at the 3/8 mile clay oval and comes into this Saturday after finishing runner-up during the most recent series event, which was held in Quincy a couple weekends back.

The Team Guts Racing No. 16x will also be in action on Friday night at the Placerville Speedway during a special 4th of July event. Prior to the race people can come and meet Gregg and see the car at the Food 4 Less in Cameron Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also on hand at the Food 4 Less will be youngster Alissa Geving.
