The World of Outlaws show for July 5th at the I-55 raceway in Pevely, MO has been cancelled due to the flooding of the racetrack. They are hoping to reschedule.

Don't think they'll be coming to Knoxville because Tri-State (Haubstadt, IN) has a race on July 6. Then again, you never know...

The track itself is not underwater as it sits on higher ground but some of the surrounding lower areas (including the pit entrance) are currently underwater with the flood's crest yet to come...

maybe you'll see a few outlaws at Terre Haute on Friday for the All-Stars. The Outlaws are off on Friday aren't they. Probably see most if not all of the All-Star guys travel to the Mid-West show at Paragon on Saturday since Peavely is canceled, then down to Haubstadt on Sunday. Lets pray for three days without rain. Could be a great weekend of racing in Indiana.

Knoxville and PA Speedweek are both beyond the 250 mile distances. Word is there are a couple of car owners looking for drivers in PA...should be interesting...

I'd think the IRA show at Wilmot would be outside of the 250 miles, as well........

I had a friend's wedding to go on the 5th so I couldn't make it. Hoping they reschedule the race. Last weekend's UMP Summer Nats. race at Pevely was flooded out as well so I figured the outlaws would get the same. Off to Haubstadt.......

I'm thinking Knoxville will be pretty darn good. I'd bet some of the outlaws will hang around the Knoxville area on their way to Haubstadt. That makes more sense than the TerraHaute show on Friday.JMO A 7 or 8 hour drive for me to Knoxville might be worth it as long as that pesky "R" word isn't still looming that weekend.

What would Knoxville's payout be compared to the IRA race at Wilmot?

Well it's twin features night at Knoxville. That could throw a huge curveball into the points race. Locals not making the show would be pentalized severly. The payout would be better at Knoxville, given two features, and also the Outlaws would have that many more laps to tune up for the nationals.

Bill W - Is that correct that the normal payout is split for double feature night?

Not split...the total purse is more, but there is less payout for each race and less laps (16 and 12)...

That's exactly what I'm thinking. A regular show at Knoxville is better than most, add some of the outlaws staying there to race, and you've got a great show.

With the nationals just a month away, the possibility of a 2 feature test session will be hard for the travelers to resist.

Port Royal is having a $7k to win show (PA Speedweek) and Fremont is having a $3500 to win show. All Stars at Terre Haute and then Fremont would be geographically the best since they're at Limaland that next Wednesday for the Doty Classic. Don't know what they'll do though. Best case scenario would be to see a few go to K'ville, a few go to Fremont, and a few go to the Port.
