Uncle Fester will be in concert after the races in the infield spectator area. You can check out their website at www.unclefester.net. They also have a promo on their so you can check out some of the songs they play. Should be a good time. If we do not get a decent crowd in the infield spectator area, we will look at eliminating it.

The Sprint Car rules have been updated, specifically for mufflers. I accidentally changed this when updating some other rules. I copied and pasted from an old set of rules that had not been updated for this muffler rule, so our web-site was incorrect the past couple of weeks. Sorry for any inconvenience or confusion. Our track muffler is the Schoenfled #112535 for Sprint Cars.

Since we had a great count of 19 B Mods last weekend we will add them to out weekly program. Thanks B mod Drivers and we look forward to working with you.

As is the tradition on Stylecraft (now Klaussner) Employee night, they have donated a new leather chair to be given away with our lucky program giveaways for this Saturday Night.

Van Wyhe Cattle (Van Wyhe racing) is also going to sponsor a kids night next Saturday Night July 5th. The are footing the bill for all kids admissions 6-12, and are also going to be doing some other special things for kids, including giving away a couple of bikes as well as a candy toss. Talk about stepping up, and this is after not such a great week for their teams. Thank you Wayne and Crew!

Don't forget about Spencer next Friday Night. JSTS and the WDRL Late models, and a huge fireworks display. Should be a great show. $22 for Adults and 15 and under $10. I should ahve a few more details on this in a couple of days, gate times, start times, etc. But I would expect they will want to start this show early, maybe like hot laps at 6:00?? Because I would guess they want to do the fireworks not too long after dark.

Several people have asked me about my brothers website (he was seriously injured in an accident a few weeks ago) and that is http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jessemccorkell. This is a nice site and my aunt and cousin update it on his condition, just about daily.

Also - Reminder that we decided against running on Thursday July 3rd, and are instead running our nomal Saturday Night (July 5th). We thought it might not be in out best interests to run against the Outlaws at Husets. Plus the Rubins are playing nice, so we thought we would to.

This is from the World Dirt Race League website on the July 4th race at Spencer Iowa, regarding the Late Model portion of the program, start time & their payout.
