Just wanted to let everyone know that Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico will be racing this Friday night, despite the fires in the surrounding area.

Two important things for Friday:

1. Any firefighter wearing their uniform will be admitted free into the main grandstand area in appreciation of all their help.

2. And for all fans, drivers and teams you will have to enter the speedway at the Costco Gate located near the back of the speedway. To get to the gate you'll take Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway (the road that runs parallel to the pit area) and then turn on Silver Dollar Way. You’ll enter the little gate and fan parking is available in the big lot out back.

So we will be racing this Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway. Troy says the front of the fairgrounds is full of firefighters and workers so it’s pretty cool they’re allowing us to race. Please pass the message along to anyone you know.

Thanks for the info Gary.

I would like to second what Kelly said. Thank you to all of the firefighters for keeping us safe. The fires here in the Solano county area were close enough to see the glow Sunday night and to leave thick ash on the truck. I for one am very glad they got a handle on it.

Also, add Robbie Whitchurch to that list of drivers helping with the fires! He's been gone about 2 weeks now.
