Oakdale, Ca – June 20th, 2008…Veteran car owner Mike Sala will bring two healthy Midgets to do battle with the USAC Western States Midgets this Saturday, June 21, at Bakersfield Speedways high banked 1/3 mile.
The always racy, Robby Flock will be piloting the potent Spike chassis #19w, with a Bob Wirth powered Chevrolet. Robbie will be "up on the wheel" as the veteran shoe will be shooting for another win to add to his already storied career.
Ryan Kaplan will also be on the gas in a Sala Racing Midget. He will be seeking the win in the #79s. The immaculately prepared Spike chassis will also have Bob Wirth power under the hood, with Mopar thunder.
Both machines will be massaged by capable crew-chief, Brian Matherly, from Kaeding Performance. The veteran wrench has picked up a couple of wins of late with Bud Kaeding in winged Sprint car competition. He will be taking his always relentless charge towards the checkered flag as he will be throwing everything that he has at the Mike Sala Racing Midgets.
"I'm really looking forward to the race". The veteran car owner commented. "I have two great drivers and an excellent crew-chief that I have faith in"
Mike Sala Racing would like to thank: Weldway Incorporated, Weldway Construction, Maxwell Industries, Paul Oil, Bob Wirth Racing Engines, and Kaeding Performance for all of their support!
