UNITED RACING COMPANY'S TOP TOURING SPRINT CAR SERIES COMING TO PENN CAN SPEEDWAY

Susquehanna, PA… One of the most anticipated nights of racing at Penn Can Speedway in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania is on the schedule Friday June 20th when the super exciting United Racing Company sprint cars make their return. The URC is one of the nations most respected and longest running sanctioning bodies in the United States. Annually they bring over twenty five of the most competitive sprint cars to the track for their season long series races. After one year off at Penn Can, the top 360 racing sanctioning body comes back to the speedway with an exciting night of racing including heats, a "B" main, Dash for Cash, and a big twenty five lap feature event. Also included in the night's racing program will be an autograph session for the top URC drivers behind the main grandstand. Many special give-aways will also be included on this super night of racing. The entire event will be sponsored by Chad Sinon Motorsports BPG Racing.

A huge contingent of URC sprinters is expected to sign in at the ultra fast clay oval. History was made the last time the URC sprinter competed at Penn Can when Mares Stellfox became the first ever female winner in any division at Penn Can Speedway. On that same evening former modified competitor, Scott Purcell, claimed an exciting win to complete the double sprint car features that night.

This season the United Racing Company sponsored by Rislone Oil Products will bring the top 360 sprint car drivers in the northeast to Penn Can Speedway for their only 2008 area appearance. Leading the strong field will be the exciting Curt Michaels coming off his thirty seventh URC feature win at the Bridgeport Speedway. Also to be in competition will be the BPG sponsored sprint car of Chris Coyle, the Palladino Motorsports team of Davey Sammons, plus Dave Ely, Randy West, and former Penn Can winners Tim Hogue and Kevin Welsh.

Joining the URC sprints will be the mighty Penn Can Speedway modifieds lead by Jeff and Alan Rudalavage, Brian Weaver, Craig Terrell, Butch Tittle, Bobby Trapper, Joey Grammes, plus a host of other top area drivers. The sportsman, super stocks, and pure stocks will also be in competition. Gates will open at 5:15 with racing at 7:15.

The speedway is located on Route 171 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania just a short drive from the Binghamton and Scranton areas. For more information call the speedway office at 570-585-9928 or check our web page at www.penncan.com.

The speedway is sponsored in part for the 2008 season by great corporate partners including Don's Automotive Mall, Gary's U-Pull-It, Pump-N-Pantry Stores, Trackside Products, Bernheisel Race Components, Pine Line Auto, American Race Tires, and Sunoco Race Fuels.
