410s (23 Cars)
Welcome Mat Yet another Jeffrey signs in the back gate as Lynton & Paul's cousin, Antony, is here for his first race at the track. Wade Nygaard, Bronson Maeschen, & John Miller make another appearance for the first time in a few weeks.
MIA Billy Alley, Brooke Tatnell, Clint Garner, Mike Sitzmann Jr., Wertz.
VIP Moves over to turn 1 for a new view of the track. LDA24 and family are the lone members.
Time Trials (1 lap each) Johnn Cressman (1st out) set the bar at a very fast 10.608 lap. That's the fastest lap so far this year, and the fastest the Report can remember since T-Mac & Tyler Walker dropped sub 10.50 laps back in August 2002. Mark Dobmeier (2nd out), fresh off a win at Knoxville, was 2nd quick with a 10.848. Very fast track for everyone throughout. The rest of the top 18 hitting the heat invert: Justin Henderson, Micah Schliemann, Chad Meyer, Jake Peters, Maeschen, John Lambertz, Marlon Jones, L. Jeffrey, Scott Winters, Nygaard, Gregg Bakker, Gordy Vogelaar, Gary DeWall, Miller, Mitch Runge, A. Jeffrey.
Time Trials Grade: A; good to see some fast lap times set for the first time in a long awhile.

Heat 1 Finish: 96 56 24M 12 4 6/ 17B (DNF) 11x (DNS)
Heat 1 Notes: Bakker did not start as they had engine woes and they scratched for the rest of the night. So the outside row moves up and Maeschen led the distance to record his first heat victory ever at the track. Cressman moved into 2nd early and couldn't run him down. Pretty narrow track for the first heat.

Heat 2 Notes: Dobmeier got by Meyer & Lambertz in the first corner. He then got by Winters on the backstretch during the last lap. Lambertz, in a transfer sopt, had something break coming out of 4 to the checkers and he junked the front end and damaged the rear end in the process. Vogelaar had her hooked up with the right stagger to record his 3nd heat win of the year.

Heat 3 Notes: A. Jeffrey just all over the track and almost takes out half the field in the process. Peters got by Henderson on the start and held on. Jeffrey would then flip with 2 to go in turn 1 and would be done for the night.
Heat Grades: C; pretty typical Huset's heats for the year with a narrow track and not much passing going on, but there was more passing than usual. The expectations are so low, that's why it gets a C.
B Feature (Top 2 Tag the A, 8 Laps) Starting Order: N/A
Finish: 3 cars scratched for the night, setting up the 20 car feature.
B Feature Grade: N/A.

Initial start was good with L. Jeffrey taking off with the lead with Henderson getting by Maeschen for 2nd early as well. Henderson ran down Jeffrey and took the point on lap 5 when Jeffrey hit a rut and got loose. Meanwhile, the 13 of Dobmeier was coming in a hurry and had it hooked up on the tacky, super fast track. On lap 8, Henderson gets into the lapper of Miller and spins out in turn 2! VIP goes crazy with text messages being sent out to MN to deliver the good news. He collects Peters (flat tire) and Maeschen and all 3 made repairs to start at the back.
Jeffrey had the restart lead with Dobmeier, Winters & Cressman on his tail. Dobmeier took the lead on lap 10 on the backstretch and was setting a blistering pace into traffic. Schliemann spun in turns 3 and 4 with 11 to go, kept the motor lit, and everyone did an amazing job to miss him as the action continued. Dobmeier catches the 57x of Peters in traffic and was having big trouble getting around him, this allowed Winters, coming off a sweep of the IRA in Wisco, to gain enormous ground, setting up what would have been a great 6 laps in traffic… until Maeschen spun out in turn 2.
Restart saw Dobmeier leading Winters, Jeffrey, and Cressman. Cressman stopped or spun out (didn't see it) at the bottom of turn 4 while coming to the white flag. Good to see the D1 come up through the field trying to take out as many people (especially Meyer down the backstretch) as he could in order to save some points and face. Dobmeier picked up career win #22 in a 410. Winters was 2nd, Jeffrey 3rd, Henderson 4th and Nygaard rounding out the top 5. Lap leaders Jeffrey 1-4, 8-9; Henderson 5-7; Dobmeier 10-25.
Finish: 13 23w 12 D1 9N 28 33 57x 6 16/ 1w 4 9M 12J 56 96 24M 12L 17B 2D
A Feature Grade: A; its not everyday you get to see a former WoO field filler decide to take himself out while leading and continue is all of a sudden bad luck since mouthing off after a recent victory over the PA system. Dobmeier would have probably caught him in traffic, he was that damn fast tonight.
360s (20 cars, 18 laps) Droescher took the lead from the front row pole, taking up a good majority of the track, not allowing Drost to fly by until lap 8. Looked like Drost was going to pick up his first win a few years until Jacobsma got by him coming to the white flag in traffic. During the white flag, that's when all hell broke loose going into turn 3. Vonk takes out 4 drivers including himself by getting into a lapper. He wrecks himself (in 2nd), Drost in 3rd, and Hansen in 4th. Clarks rules the race is over with Jacobsma picking up his first career win at the track with Rosenboom coming home 2nd, even though he would have been 5th without all hell breaking loose in front of him. Lap leaders were Droescher 1-7; Drost 8-16; Jacobsma 17-18.
FOAW: Going to split it between Dobmeier and Winters as both of them take 2 victories throughout the weekend. Give the slight edge to Dobs as he doubles up Knoxville with Huset's. Winters swept the Masters with the IRA over at Cedar Lake. Would have been a great finish in lapped traffic if not for a caution.
Crowd Pleasing Moment #1: The D1 stepping up his game tonight and overall for the weekend.
Crowd Pleasing Moment #2: Getting to see a 10.608 lap in time trials from Cressman. Probably going to be the fastest lap all season.
WTF: Vonk taking out 3 of the top 5 in the 360 feature on the last lap. Dumb move, period.
"Home of the Professionals" Moment of the Night: Starting the, "Fastest moving program in the upper-midwest" 40 minutes after the advertised "7PM sharp." The anthem was sung a little after 7:40, great Father's Day gift for the fathers in the stands.
Mulligan Moment: Shawn Neisteadt saying numerous times that Dobmeier won for the first time in his career Saturday night at Knoxville. Actually is win #3. Feel bad for him since no one was smart enough up top to correct him.
Head Scratcher: The track is starting to miss a few of their heavy hitters they had early on. The Dude is only running Outlaw races here, Alley is hit and miss, Tatnell didn't drive over from Wisco tonight, Garner's without a motor, and Dover only came the 1 weekend.
Thumbs Up: To the races getting done at about 10:20; could have really been 9:45 if not for the really late start. Also thanks for bringing the grader out for intermission, the track would have been even worse if it wasn't touched. Super fast track for the feature with a couple lanes to pass.
Thumbs Down: Track conditions back to what they were for the weekly show. Ruts, rough track, etc., total opposite of Friday.
Prime Mover: Winters 7th to 2nd, Runge moved from 12th to 6th, Rosenboom 16th to 9th in a 360. Henderson came up through the field but started right where he finished due to late cautions.
Trophy Queen Grade: Didn't really see what they looked like, but it looked like the big tattooed one was back for yet another week. Lets get some new girls out there.
Closing Stat of the Night: Mark Dobmeier now has led the most laps this year with 41 compared to The Dude's 40.
