 Thanks Al

F.Y.I

Rule update will happen in the next day or so,

Drivers that run the "ASCS spec head" will be allowed to have a min. weight of 1450.

I also REMOVED the rule that did NOT allow bolt on weight.

After three year there was only 6 cars? not much fun to watch a sprint car race week after week with only 6 cars.

the good news is Wright one Construction as stepped to the plate to bring 360 winged cars to Ocean Speedway. I think this will be a great show for the fans and should have more than 6 cars opening night.

after 3 years you would have thought the word would have gotten around. teams have a way of finding out where races are.

I agree they did not promote the spec 360's, I will take the heat for ONE of those years since I was not the promoter the other two. Its 2007 and time to move on, We have new staff new track and new cars with wings for 2007!! Also did I tell you we have a new sponsor Wright One Construction just making sure...

I hope to see everyone at Ocean, The new home for sprint cars...

John!

After getting done messing with the logo, I had a ton of questionsideas flood my tiny little grey matter.

Have you considered bringin back the old rules for the Key? If you dont know em, Carwash and I can gladly disertate a history lesson. (LOL)

But basically what Im thinking is:

Min:

3 prior appearnaces

top 18 in points seeded into A

Seeded cars pitted in infield

Top 4 in points run a 3 lap trophy dash to set rows 1 ans 2

Non qualified cars qualify, run c and b. top 4 transfer.

If youre gonna run the modifieds, run qualifying and the b (if needed), then a 20 lap A

Get em done and out.

Key 50 lapper - Yellows dont count.

Closed reds, open for fuel only (if needed)

Im throwing my hat in the ring right now as the honorary chief starter for the Key. Always wanted to do it, lol, Im serious here, quit laughin! I want to throw the green for the 46th Key.

Oh and lap money. Have you thought about it? Im on lap 26 if you go with it.

The problem with these rules is that they will keep a lot of cars that do not run ocean on a regular basis from showing up at this honorary event. If you make it open to all comers; like the Bradway, Hinds, Forni, Mel Hall, and other honorary events; on an equal playing field, you will probably get several P-ville and MRP cars to show up and your local cars should still have an advantage, since they run there on a regular basis. If the non-locals know they're competing for the final four starting positions, you won't get a lot of extra cars.

my point was that if you have a 3 prior apprearance rule it would help the car count at Wville. It promotes series participation. Specially if you line em up by points. And since its a long race, it would be cool to have the qualified teams in the infield if front of the crowd like the old days.

problem is that was then and these days people that dont series race, bitch.

<>Stu, what do you think the weekly car count will be for the 360 winged series?
Just curious. I like the idea of cars pitted in the infield, and at least a 50 lap main.

Heck, lets pave the joint and run a hundred lapper with the supers.
