After reading the Lawton post , the Becker post and responding to both of them. I am wondering is Mark going to have influx of cars in the next few weeks? To be honest I like Meeker now. I went to Meeker when it was first done it reminded me of Golsby back when I was young .Yes, I am that old or I have that good of a memory, I am hoping the memory part. Meeker was a track in the middle of a pasture that someone made and it sucked . Although it was something to do on a Sat night. Now slowly, yes because of time and money, Brill's is becoming a show place.

It seems as if people are getting tired of the favortism at certain tracks and what to run at a place that they know they can have fair results. Which I see no problems with that. Just wondering what others think?

The Ltd mods had three heats last week which to me is a wow. I know they had some mods pull down from the Tulsa area b/c I talked to a few of them last week . They have on a regular basis guys pull down in the champs from Tulsa as well as the Okc local guys.

I am not saying anything bad against the people who do not run Brill but I am kinda under the feeling as if they do not want to branch out from certain places. Everyone, has their reasons for running certain places and I respect it but it seems kinda of strange.

it just goes to show you that all you have to do is be FAIR. be HONEST. and treat the drivers like human beings. I love going to Meeker cause everyone seems so happy out there. I know racing cost a lot, heck a pushtruck cost a lot but Meeker is a place where you can bring you children to the pits and the drivers will sit and visit or take pics or just absorb the fact that the fans love to watch them race. I have been to only 2 tracks in my pushtruck career and it seems like everyone is so uptight at the SFS and at Meeker they just show up to race and it makes the races remember why they stared racing in the first place. So the answer to your question is YES. Meeker is the place to race. If you want to be treated with fairness, honesty. Just have fun.

Dont get mad at me, im just the pushtruck guy.

I thought you would be one to answer Matt. Last week I saw you talking to Eddie, I am the fat white boy that helps him lol, before the races. I saw you smilling and having a good time talking to him and I thought to myself this is what it is about.

Brill does take a down to earth approach to racing , at meeker it's a little more laid back and yes everyone gets treated fairly ! on Saturdays I bounce back and fourth from Ardmore to meeker , and sometimes Lawton ...I guess I'm kinda a trackwhore lol ardmore and meeker have to be two of the best ran shows around so as my turnstile of tracks turns it's about time to goback to meeker tonight so see ya there

winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Mark has never said so out loud, but I've always thought that part of the reason he bought the track in Meeker was to give people an option besides running Lanny's tracks. Who would know better what drivers want than a driver? Mark listens, too. I've seen him make several changes based on the suggestions of others.

Thanks for all the compliments, and please keep coming back.

If for some reason you haven't made it out to our "little track in the woods". We are approx. 4 mi. north of the town of Meeker (which is the junction of Hwy 62 and Hwy 18. From OKC take I-40 east to Hwy 18 Shawnee/Meeker exit, then north thru Meeker, then 41/2 mi. north. Or East on Hwy 62 to Hwy 18 and 41/2 mi north. From Tulsa you can take the turnpike to the Chandler exit, then south to the track.

We run Mini stocks, factory stocks, limited modifieds, modifieds, 2-barrel winged sprints, Oklahoma Ford Focus Midgets, and Kid sprints, as well as the occassional quad-runner race. Lawn chairs are welcome. Races start at 7:30, be there early if you want a good seat!!!!!

Ticket prices are available at www.brillmotorspeedway.com

If that Kid Sprint deal could get going it would make my life alot easier. I would probably bring three cars out tonite and I havnt done that since 2002. But ours is not a perfect world and I can only hope that all the teams tonite have a blast at Brilladega.

One of the local limited modified drivers (#99) is a electricion and has a ladder type truck. Himself, Kevin Becker and others have about six or seven new light poles up that they got from Rose State College. They weren't lit last Saturday night but as soon as they get hooked up, new lighting will be placed on the track.

Slowly but surely changes are being made and for the better.

Don't forget that Lake Country Speedway in Ardmore and Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada are also seeing bigger car counts in their classes.
