PENNGROVE, CA (6-5-08) – Earlier in the racing season, Bay Area musician Ron Pestana and producer Bill Bentley released a special rendition of their song “Angel in Flames” for Penngrove sprint car driver Alissa Geving. The title was a perfect fit for the 16-year-old open wheel racing star. It has been used by multiple venues, including area race tracks and online video tribute and has been featured on the broadcast television show “Trackside at Infinion” on a pair of occasions.

After several months in production, the Alissa Geving edition of “Angel in Flames” has been included in a brand new album by Pestana and Bentley. The 16-track CD features multiple titles with custom lyrics, referencing Northern California racing wth an emphasis on events promoted by John Padjen Motorsports including Placerville Speedway, Silver Dollar Speedway, the Civil War Series and the Golden State Challenge Series. The fifth track on the album is the near 4 minute in length “Angel in Flames” that was re-written in tribute to the third generation open wheel star.

Beginning this Saturday,Alissa Geving race fans can purchase their very own edition of the new album for just $10 by visiting Geving and the Chicko Motorsports team in the pit area of any race where they compete. And the best part of the bargain, the proceeds from the album benefit the American Cancer Society in honor of a family friend of the Gevings.

Forty two-year old Roy Moss has been battling colon cancer for several years. At the age of 15 Geving began helping the longtime family friend and SonomaCounty father of two in his courageous battle in both moral and monetary support. The venture all started when Gevingwas unable to compete in a “Relay for Life” event to support Roy due to her racing commitments in the kart series two years ago. At that time Geving came up with her own fundraising effort, setting her sights on top finishes and donating winnings to the American Cancer Society in Roy’s honor and called it the “Race of Life.”

Back in April of this year, Geving was excited to learn that Pestana and Bentley wrote her name into the “Angel in Flames” song . Now, the soon to be Ursuline High School Senior is thrilled that the production will benefit Roy and the American Cancer Society.

“I feel so honored that Ron Pestana and Bill Bentley would include a song about me on their new album,” said Geving. “My good friend Roy has been battling cancer for years now. A couple of years abog when I raced karts I started a little thing called “Race for Life” in which I donated all of my winnings to the American Cancer Society. I hope with this venture I can make as big of an impact, or bigger as I did when I earned a couple of thousand dollars in the karts. I dedicate all my work I have done with the Cancer Society to my good friend Roy, and he will be in my prayers forever.”

Race fans wishing to purchase Pestana’s new album, featuring Alissa Gevings’ “Angel in Flames” can do so by visiting the pit area at her upcoming events. On Saturday, June 7th she will be in competition at Petaluma Speedway where she leads the point standings and will be on hand throughout the season Saturday, June 14th she will compete at the famed half mile Calistoga Speedway for just the second time in her career. On Saturday, July 4th she plans to compete at Placerville Speedway.

In addition to being available at Gevings’ race hauler, copies of the album can also be purchased at Gary Geving’s AlA Muffler Shop in Santa Rosa. The album will also go on sale at Placerville Speeedway beginning June 7th for the same price of $10 and proceeds also going to the American Cancer Society as a joint effort to benefit a great cause and increase public relations between the Chicko Motorsports Team, John Padjen Motorsports and Pestana.
