FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MILITARY VETERANS AND KIDS FREE AT SATURDAY‘S PERRIS SPRINT CAR RACE!

(JUNE 3, 2009, PERRIS, CA) Perris Auto Speedway will begin its Annual Kid's month this Saturday night, June 7th. All kids 12 and under will be admitted free when they are accompanied by an adult the next four weeks. Also, when Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply presents the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and California Lightning Sprint Cars this Saturday, The PAS and ITI Performance will be paying tribute to veterans of all branches of the service. Any veteran who shows theIr id stating their were in the military will get in free. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing at 7:00.

“We are looking forward to hosting the veteran’s this Saturday night,” promoter Don Kazarian said from his office on Monday afternoon. “They are the reason we are able to live the way we do in this country and it is our way of showing them our appreciation. Any veteran from any branch of the armed services who shows their id at the ticket window will get in free. We will also be doing fund raising for the veterans including some raffles for a copuple of signed helmets from NASCAR superstar Tony Stewart.”

Saturday also marks the first night of “Kid’s Month.” June has been deemed "Kid's Month" at The PAS since 2001. "We started Kid's Month as a reward to our fans," Kazarian stated. "It saves them some money. Especially in these times with such high prices for gasoline. It is a way of thanking for supporting our shows. It also exposes younger fans to our sport."

As has been the case in the past, this year's "Kid's Month" is not just a family thing. "As long as the kids are accompanied by an adult, they all get in free. Fans can load up the car, van or rent a bus and bring the entire neighborhood and they will get in free," Kazarian said. "The kids love the shows and we enjoy hosting the kids. The more the merrier."

This year’s “Kid's Month” will encompass the following races:

June 7th – USAC/CRA Sprint Cars & California Lightning Sprint Cars presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply

June 14th – So. Cal Ride, Rock and Race featuring Gene Romero’s West Coast Flat Track Series presented by the Southern California Harley-Davidson Dealer’s Association

June 21 - USAC/CRA Sprint Cars & PASSCAR Modifieds presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply

June 28th – Extreme Late Models. MC Painting & Construction Super Stocks, PASSCAR Street Stocks & PASSCAR Modifieds and Dwarf Cars

This Saturday’s Salute to the Veteran’s/Kid’s Month show will include qualifying for the USAC/CRA division and heats, B and A mains for both USAC/CRA and the Lightning Sprint Cars.

Very nice gesture. Yikes, now how do I find proof of my service 40 years ago?

I wish I lived closer to Perris. It seems like you folks go out of your way to promote racing and Honor people. I'm talking about both the track and the fans. You are awesome!
