Is Koby (Barksdale) for sure running for NCRA RoY or not? I haven't had anybody email me to confirm or deny this. If he is then my bet would be with him. He has experience at different race tracks, mainly down in Texas with Gulf South, so would give him the edge due to famliarity with different types of track and conditions.
Cody (Forshee) was born with the racing talent (grandfather Red Forshee, his father the late Jeff Forshee) and with his brother, Josh turning the wrenches, he could be strongly considered too. Only really familiar with 81 Speedway and no other tracks could pose a problem I would think.
Not sure of who else is running the NCRA sprint car rookie of the year. Those are the only two that I am aware of.

This may be the one and only time I say this ....Dave your wrong. check out the finishes for the first two ncra shows and Codys finishes! And even with these good finishes they have rub the a's fighting motor problems with blown head gaskets. You also gotta consider Kansas slick tracks you gotta be a smooth shoe.

Your point is very well taken, Larry, except for the one time and only you would say that. Say it as often as you would like, I am a man - I am 43.
The tell sign will be at Belleville to see what both of these rookies (and others) have got. If they get by those two shows on them highbanks, they will both be just fine.

Barksdale did a great job this weekend. I know cause I followed behind and along side of him for about 7 laps straight at Wichita and It didn't worry him he kert his cool and beat my butt. Now if he could just give his uncle some pointers on how to run smooth and straight!!!!

Koby got his first NCRA win last Saturday night at Dodge City Raceway. The video is on www.dodgecityraceway.com
He's still leading the rookie race. Good luck Koby.
