Danny Reidy had flashes of brilliance at Chico Silver Dollar with the Golden State Challenge series, but fell short of an A -Main finish.
On Fri., 7/25/08, Danny Qualified a good 12th and made the Dash where he finished 8th. However in the Feature, he had motor problems on the push off lap and retired to the pits with a DNS in the Fauver Race Ready Rental #61, and Greg DeCaires, the 1st Alternate took his place.
On Sat., Danny qualified a great 5th fast ahead of such well knowns as Sammy Swindell and Brent Kaeding, among 27 others. In Heat #1, he started 5th and finished 7th which put him in the B Main. In the B, he started on the pole alongside Brent Kaeding. He led BK for 9 of the 12 laps before BK got past him. Next thing we knew he had slid off the back of turn 4 and ended up parked against the finish straight wall facing the wrong way in front of us in the turn 4 grandstands. He finished 9th which was a non transfer to the A.
I looked for him and the car in the pits after the Feature but the team had already packed up and departed.
So he showed potential and we look for better overall results as he gets accustomed to the car and the track.
