Bob Consani. He use to field some powerful sprint cars with top drivers at Calistoga and several pavement and dirt tracks in northern and central California?

He is deeply missed........ Here's a little photo memory album in honor of Bob Consani. I had the pleasure of seeing drivers Davey Hamilton, Jimmy Sills, Brian McClish, and Jessica and Joe Helberg wheel his machinery. Bob was a real class act. Thanks for the memories Bob.........The first five photos are two of Bob's cars at Champion Speedway in Carson City Nv. being wheeled by Brian McClish and Jessica Helberg. The headshot photo is of Bob's kid, Jared Consani. The last shot is Jared being followed by Matt DeMartini in the Moehler Bros. sprinter. Enjoy..........

wow, I had no idea. Kind of a shocker. He had some beautiful sprinters. Thanks Troy for some great photos. Does his son have any plans to continue his dad's racing team?

Thanks Bob. I'm glad you like them. I haven't heard anything about Jared for a couple of years now. That would be cool to keep it in the family though. Anyone have any info?

I also remember Bob having some beautiful Super Mod's about 20 years ago. Think: Chuck Gurney's win at Mesa Marin! Bob will be missed.

BK may have driven the Consani sprinter a couple times also? If not mistaken a few years ago one of BK's sponsors was Pioneer Concrete a Bob Consani owned company..

BK drove a Silver Crown car for Consani.

Was Bud driving a Consani car when he won the W/S championship?

Bud was in his own car, #29, when he won the USAC Western States Championship....he was on kill at Irwindale that year. Seems to me that he won every(!) race that USAC held at Irwindale that year...1999, I think

Yes, that was 1999. Bud was in a different world at Irwindale! Thanks for refreshing the memory!

No problem, t-dub!

The reason I remember it so well is that Bud used to whip up on the team I was part of in 1999 - we were running a "supposed" Beast copy that we could never get to work....

Chuck.....
