I looked thru the rules but I didnt find the tire rules, and the minimum weight requirement for the car & driver.

Section 303F might be of some interest to you

Section 314 does not mention specific tire compounds but does make threatening noises about altering the tires although I've never heard of anyone penalized for doing so. The current requirement calls for you to run a Hoosier turd ...er... DT3 on the right rear.
