Team Tarlton Drivers On The Gas!

Fresno, Ca – May 16^th & 17^th, 2008…The Tom Tarlton-owned Sprint cars showed speed once again this past weekend. Tommy Tarlton raced at both Ocean Speedway and Kings Speedway in winged Sprint car action, while Peter Murphy raced the pristine twin #21 non-winged Sprint car at Kings Speedway in the Bandit 360 action.

Ocean Speedway – Tommy was up first with his race at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville. "Double-T" glided the Shark powered Maxim around the speedway, and clocked in with quick time. He then transferred out of heat race #1, which set Tommy to start in the 8th spot in the main event. Tommy brought the car home in the 2^nd spot, following the multi-talented and current Wright One 360 point's leader, Bud Kaeding to the checkered flag.

Kings Speedway non-wing Bandit's– Peter Murphy would not let down his car owner and sponsors this night, as he proceeded to hold his end up in the Tom Tarlton owned, Tarlton & Son, Inc. non-wing Sprint car. Peter was seeking two strait Bandit victories, with the last one coming May 10^th at Santa Maria Speedway. He qualified 6^th quick. He then started last in his heat, and once again, the Shark Racing Engine didn't hesitate to Peter's demands, as he worked his way through the field on the tricky surface, and won the heat. Peter started 2^nd in the main event, and never looked back, and proceeded to bring the Team Tarlton crew their 2^nd consecutive Bandit Sprint car win.

"It's my pleasure to drive for the Tarlton's," Peter said. "I would like to thank everyone involved with this team. It was another good showing for Team Tarlton this weekend!"

Kings Speedway 360 Wing- Tommy's evening, again, had a quick start, as he kicked off the National Winged 360 Sprint car Series' evening with quick time. A frightening moment came in his heat, as near disaster struck at the start of the event. Coming down for the start, cars got out of shape, and Tommy hopped a wheel slamming the #21 hard into the front stretch concrete. Team Tarlton was all over the battered car as it entered the pits on the hook. Tommy started 9^th in the main event, but didn't waste the crews hard working efforts, and had his elbows up. He eventually finished 2^nd once again.

"Not a bad weekend at all for us!" Tommy said. "We finished second last night, and we finished second tonight. I'd like to thank the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino. They've been with us for ten years now!"

-Up Next for Team Tarlton!

Peter Murphy will be piloting one of the potent Tarlton mounts once again this weekend. Peter will be gunning for 3-strait wins, as he will be returning to Santa Maria Speedway May 24^th for more Bandit Sprint car action, and also looking to steadily increase his point's lead. Tommy Tarlton, will be racing with the Golden State Challenge 410 Sprint cars on May 30^th at Ocean Speedway. Tommy currently sits 2^nd in the Wright One 360 Sprint car standings behind masher Bud Kaeding.
