The Phlyers avoid a sweep, Biron looks tough again...
The first period reminded me of 1995...Lindros, LeClair and Renberg vs Messier and company.
What say you Mikey...can they win in Pittsburg?
Don Cherry out did himself last night....Pink tie; Pink paisley sport coat....Porter Waggoner would have been jealous!

If the Penguins play 60 minutes of hockey, instead of 40, I don't believe that the Flyers will win another game this playoff..... but, then, that's why they play the games, ain't it?
And cat, it's spelled PITTSBURGH....
Chuck.....

Hey it could be worse..............you could be SJ Sharks fans and watch them play 55min. of NHL hockey and 5min. of Pee Wee hockey. All this while giving a 3 game head start!

Reality states they have the horses and outright talent along with Mr. Momentum this play-off season. Heck, I think a burg vs. deadwing final would be the most entertaining. Rome wasn't built in a day, right? My boys have come leaps and bounds from where they were a year ago and we will be an even better TEAM next year, sans any super-stars. We are what you expect from a town like Philly, we bring our lunch bucket to work, we don't need no dang superwhiner err superstars.
I and most old school hockey fans love what Don has to say but Lord those duds have got to go. What started out years ago with flamboyant ties and shirt collars has spread to gayday gear from a parade in your neck of the woods, arghhhhh. Even my wife watches the first period break to see the peacock strut and never listens to his words of wisdom, that ain't right!
The REAL hockey in Canada starts tonite with the Canadian Major Jr. Championships, hockey's equivalent to the final four in B-Ball. The top scorer this year in the play-offs is a first round draft pick of the Flyers and I'm looking forward to seeing him strut his stuff. This is rough 'n tough hockey not for the frail or weak at heart, kinda like the old days in the big leagues.
Holiday weekend up here now also, looking forward to the hockey, horses and honeys, kids and the wife that is. Have a good one also, Take It Easy......

Ol Grapes has really become a cartoon character now, hasn't he. Those so called suits he wears, so proudly, just get uglier and more embarassing every night. More like a tacky shower curtain or or my moms old 1970's couch LOL!!! I think he and Liberace must have had the same tailor. You know the network must just love it, millions tuning in to see what he's gonna wear next, and who he's gonna piss off next. Either way you just gotta love Don Cherry, he's a Canadian icon. And he's right on the mark on most of the topics he discusses. Hate to see the Flyers outta the hunt, but at least they gave the Pens a good kick in the rear last game. Let em know they aint dead yet. Hopefully they'll soften em up some more for the deadwings tomorrow night. Too bad Philly lost 2 of their top D-men, not to mention Simon Gagne. Flyers are still a pretty young team and they got a solid core. We may see them in the same position for several years.
