FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT SATURDAY ½ price admissions-$1 hot dogs all night by Bob Burbach Marysville CA. Paul and Kathy Hawes will host Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday night at Marysville Raceway Park. All admission prices will be ½ off. Adult general admission will be only $5.50. Hot Dogs will be $1 all night long. This is the Hawes’ second annual tribute to the people who make it all happen, the fans. Prizes galore will be handed out all night long with lucky number programs. The night will see 5 divisions of racecars including the first FIGURE 8 Extreme Bomber race of the year. There will be Wild, Slam Bang action all night long at one of the year’s most popular events. Last time the bombers competed only 4 of the original 16 starters were around at the finish. Everyone else was a casualty of the automotive "destruction derby" make up of these events!! The place will be packed so get there on time!! The MRP Wingless Sprint Cars, the MRP Street Stocks, the MRP Mini Stocks and the SORA Sprint 100s will be on the card with the Extreme Bombers. With over 100 cars expected to compete it could be the biggest car count of the year! Pit gates always open at 3 with the grandstands opening at 5. Practice and hot laps start at 6 with qualifying and racing to follow. Put www.marysvilleracewaypark.com on your “favorites” button on you computer. Watch this site for press releases, updates and complete results.

I don't understand why there is not more of this. Perris used to have discount nights for bald guys, people w/ tattoos, women in skirts and more. Anything to attract new fans and get some families out to the races. Simply a cheap race every once in a while to stir up some new interest. The more people in the stands the more dogs and beer sold and more potential new fans.

PAS is having their annual "Bald Head Night" May 24. They annually have their popular "Skirt Night" and $5 nights if you were born in one of the following decades 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s plus other promotions. I hope the Marysville race is a huge success and the promoter is applauded for this fan promotion.

Unfortunately they scheduled it on one of the biggest nights of racing of the year for the local area. Although I realize that it is not a 410 sprint race, many of the fans from that area are fans of 410 racing, the GSC and especially Dave Bradway Jr.
Had they had the fan appreciation night last weekend or the following weekend it would likely have a lot more success. I hope the promoter has enough success to warrent doing it again when there is not as much competition for the fan base.

I totally agree JohnsRacingPhotos! They should make it another weekend to have more success! I also wish there wasn't a 360 points show at Placerville this weekend because many drivers would want to go to the Bradway instead, but not loose points at the same time for the weekly point shows.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!

I applaud their efforts........but timing is everything. Hopefully they will do it again this year and more people can take advantage of it. More venues should do these types of things.
